| I have digi vape. So i can see my temp settings as they go. I feel I've been getting best results at around 360-380 degrees I don't let my cool below 300 when inhaling so the thc is always releasing. I let my herb cook down to a dark brown almost black. I feel like I'm getting the most out of my herb leaning a little higher like this. I don't like leaving myself geussing if i got it all. What's your perfect heat? |

| If your residue is almost black, you've probably got your heat set too high. You extract all of the THC faster at higher heat but you can also vaporize other components that will detract from your high. That's my experience.

| have you guys thought much about the plastic vapor being inhaled from heating the plastic tubing? 300+ degrees is more then what these clear stock commercial tubes are rated for. plastic vapors seem gross to me.... |

| hey big jew....just wondering where you are getting your information on the tubing from. i recall you asking us about it....did you contact some vape manufacturers and get the information from them about the heat rating of their tubing? also, looking back, seems you are using the vapezilla....i sure hope youre not basing your words just on your experience with that model/company.

| The tubing never seems to get that hot. It certainly never gets too hot to touch, which it certainly would if it were at 300+ degrees. Even the glass part that you hold to the heat source never gets too hot to touch. I've never noticed any kind of "plastic" taste and neither have any of the other vapers with whom I've spoken. According to the Merck Manual, the vaporization temperature of THC is 200ºC (392ºF). Last edited by Buzzby : 09-10-2007 at 11:32 PM. |

| The 'food grade' tubing used with vapes doesn't get nearly hot enough to be an issue. The air cools rapidly after it passes the heating chamber.

If you look at the USplastics site you can see the heat limitations around most tubing being around 180 degrees before break down. This says to me the petroleum and other sysnthetics used in the tubing do break down from 300+ degree heat and becomes vapor as well. I realize my Digi-Vapezilla is considered a knock off, but its treating me great! http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/cat...e=18308&Page=1

Since your Digi Vapor doesn't meet any of those qualifications, you may well want to upgrade your tubing. ![]()
