Ok, Ir an into an interesritng situation. I acquired 3 different strains over the weekend, and found one of the tyhree that just doesn't like to be vaped!!! When ground to the same consistency as the other two, it produces very little vapor. The same weed puts me on my ass smkoing it, but through the vape, its really lacking. I've never encoutered this before. I mean, I know some weed vapes better than others, but this stuff is drastrically different than the other two strains. Oh well....I have two strains for the vape, and one for the pipe I guess!!!!

problem solved!!

Interesting indeed. I can't help thinking that it's just reluctant to release vapor. Maybe a higher moisture content? Stickier than the average weed? That usually slows down the process. The moisture presents more of a barrier to the heat. I bet if you increased your temp you'd see improvement.

was the weed that wasnt vaping well a more compact bud than the other?
and to what consistency are the bowls being ground into?

before a bowl of mine is finished, i will have reached in there with one blade of the scissors and mash all of the herb up, into nearly a powder.

No, this bud is "fluffy" and not bricked or compact in any way. After grinding especially, its every bit as airy and fine as the other two varieties. I haven't REALLY tried to vape it at high temps yet, but whereas the other two variities vape awesomely at about the 11:00 position, I wasn't getting much vapor at the 1:00 position on the dial of my vaporwarez. Moisture content, consistency, etc all seem to be the same, and the weed is fine smoked.....odd, to say the least!!

Now you've got me wondering if I need to test for vapability before I buy. Reminds me of that line from 'Marathon Man'-"Is it safe?"

Me: Will it vape?

Him: Yes it'll vape. It's very vapable. It's so vapable you wouldn't believe it.

Beats me, but I think I'll just smoke it from this point on.

Okay, I was going to make a new thread, but then I remembered this one, so I figured I'd dig it back up.

I just got some recently that doesn't like to be vaped... at all. I think I'm going to ask if I can trade it in for something different.

That stuff would be useless to me. I'd have to sell it to a smoker.

Is the bud very crystally? It may well get you stoned, but perhaps it doesn't have as high as THC/CBD ratio as originally thought.

My guess, which is a total guess, as I have little experience w/ vaporizers, is that the bud was either a little moist or the bud was cured differently. It may seem dry but even a tiny percentage could make a huge difference I assume.
