| Review time.. :-) The SSV is my favorite new toy! While being slightly apprehensive about this purchase (never tried vaping before), I am totally blown away and have definitely found my new favorite way to medicate. The unit I got is sweeeet. I paid a little extra for the black 'powder coated aluminum' base with a fluorescent yellow platform. The glass blown knob and heater cover turned out great as I was a little iffy on not knowing exactly what it was going to look like. I also received 10 extra screens, aroma diffuser, lavender essential oil, 3 long pointy needles with glass blown tips for mixing and compacting your herbs, 2 SSV stickers, 1 'super hard non-toxic anodized coated magnetic grinder' (which really does nice!) and the hands-free attachment (hfa). One of the coolest things to do is being able to diffuse your essential oils while vaporizing your finest herbs at the same time. For example, last night a friend and I were vaping (and getting 'lost' in the windows media player screensavers) while the sweet smell of lavender was filling the room and beyond. The high comes on instantly I found and is intense. The first time I tried it yesterday I was listening to classical guitar music...and man did that stuff come alive. I just remember thinking how intensely 'floaty and stuck' I felt. Alot goes a loooong way with this thing! I grind up the herb and use enough to cover the screen and about an 1/8 inch up. That's really all I need. I hit it once this morning taking a long, steady hit (thinking I wasn't getting any) and then I felt my lungs expand and BAM I was already 'there.' So I turned it off as that was all I needed. I'm still high as a kite. I haven't tried the HFA yet. It's basically a slightly bendable (aluminum?) piece that slides down on the end of the quick change wand and heater cover so as to keep the wand in place. The manual says that the piece may need to be bent due to the heater covers all being uniquely shaped. I can tell my piece will need to be as it fits too snug. I'm sure this isn't hard to do, but maybe another SSV owner could tell me how they do it. Otherwise, I'm now thinking I probably wont use it as much as I thought. Nothing is time consuming with this thing. It's all quick and easy operation. It will take a time or 2 to get the temp figured out, but I think thats pretty common. I can take some pics if you want. Peace. |
