| I've been considering getting a vape after browsing this site, but it seems like ones talked about on this site are very expensive (for me atleast, I'm pretty cheap on pipes, rather have weed ) but I've seen some in some head shops priced around 50, since I really wouldnt want to spend much more then that (for now atleast) would it just be a waste of my money, or will I still enjoy it, so far all I've smoked from is pipes, bongs and bubblers, how would a cheap vape compare to them?thanks in advance for any advice or info you guys can give me |

| Too be honest with you, from what I have heard it's pretty much an absolute waste of money to go for anything under $100 dollars. What I would strongly recommend is saving up $120 and getting a vaporwarez off of e-bay, it also comes with a scale and grinder. That may seem expensive but it comes with a 5 year warranty and works damned well, so think of it in the sense that its guaranteed to get you very high for the next 5 years, that's like $20 bucks a year. Not only that but it also pays for its self because as most people will detest it has a rati0 of 2:1 in weed consumption compared to bong or pipe, so after you smoke your first ounce it will of already payed for its self. Seriously, if your not gona save up $120 don't even bother, there is no shortage of people on this site who regret not throwing down that much on a decent unit their first time. Ultimately buying a shitty unit will probably scare you away from vaporizing. There is one unit I have heard decent thing about that costs a little less, it's called the vapor king and it goes for about $90 on e-bay. I would consider that the bear minimum but would still recommend throwing down the extra $30 for the vaporwarez. cgi.ebay.com/VAPORKING-HERBAL-VAPOR-STANDARD-VAPORIZER-WAREZ-KING_W0QQitemZ220162593293QQihZ012QQcategoryZ75043 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem mod note - no links to commercial sites please. | I have to agree with hentaixen. The cheaper so called vaporizers really don't work well. A Vapor Warez really is a great vaporizer, has a great warranty (5 years), and is reasonably priced. (Around $120.00 on ebay). I honestly wouldn't waste money on a cheaper vaporizer.

| Oh and I forgot to mention, no matter what don't buy those vapes from you local head shop they are total POS and a waste of money, they don't even work. I had a friend buy one for $50 bucks from Venice beach and ever since then him and his stoner circle all thought vaporizers were complete POS. I would only buy vaporizers off of the internet, they cost a lot less and you have some damned fine selection. |

Also if $120 is a lot you could always try to sell the scale to a friend for like $10 or $20 bucks. | |

| I started out with a $10 test tube type vape. It was a total waste of my time, money, and weed. No temperature control meant that half the time it wasn't warm enough to produce vapor and the other half it was hot enough to ignite the weed. Then I put $70 into a globe-type conduction vape, the B.C, Vaporizer. It was a little better than the $10 fiasco, but the weed in contact with the heated plate tended to burn. The weed not in contact didn't get hot enough to vape. I had to unscrew the globe after every hit to stir the weed and get all of it in contact with the plate at some time. My third time out I got a winner, the VaporBrothers machine. It worked quite well for a year and a half. Turn the temp control up and you'd get powerful hits. Turn it down and you'd get weaker, but cooler and "purer" hits. When you get to the point where you think the weed is exhausted, turn up the temp a bit for a couple of more hits. When my VB expired after 18 months, it was long out of warranty and I decided to replace it instead of trying to get it fixed. I bought a Vapor Warez machine, which is similar to the VB but with a number of improvements: a separate on/off switch so you can leave the temp knob set where you want it, a screw-off heater cover so you can clean it, and a five-year warranty instead of 90 days. I'm very happy with the Vapor Warez. I think the difference between it and more expensive whip-type vapes are mostly cosmetic and won't make any difference in the quality of the vapor. You can get a Vapor Warez for $120, including a digital scale and four-part metal grinder.

| The Vaporstar and Vaporgenie are both User Proven to be VERY EFFECTIVE Vapes and are under $50. I thougt this was known by now. Im getting ready to buy me a V-Tower and I'll report back. My PC is down and I'm on my PSP but it needs to become commonly known that there are at least 2 lighter based vapes under $60. This took too long no more PSP posting, PC shoud up by friday.
