No, but I've heard a lot of feedback on the Vapir One versions 3 and 4 (misleading since 3 and 4 are the exact same unit, just with different accessories). Other than complaints about it having a plastic taste (at least at first), the main problem has been vapor leaks (supposedly much less of a problem with v.5) and a fan that's less than reliable. The fan on the v.5 is also improved and supposed to be more reliable. Since it does both bags and direct draw for $150, it's a good buy. You do have to recognize that it has a short warranty (90 days unless you pay an extra $75 for 3 yr. coverage) and both a fan and digital display for potential problems. With a whip vape like the Vaporcannon you only have a reliable ceramic heater to worry about and you get 5 yrs. warranty. If you get the extra warranty on the Vapir you're up to $225 and personally, I'd much rather have an herbalAire (and I do have one) at that price. But if the Vapir holds up, it is a very good buy considering the versatility. I think Vicki will tell you she prefers the Vaporwarez over the Vapir. She has a Voodoo, which is the same as the Vapir v.3. But if you want your vapor in a bag, the Vapir is the cheapest solution. | |

I know I'm losing vapor when I use the Voodoo too. I can control the flow of vapor on the VW by how I draw. With the Voodoo, it's forced air, and cannot be controlled. Thus, there is a waste of vapor, even using balloons. It's almost unavoidable. I solved the problem with the door leaking vapor with a little tape, but to me, a pain in the ass again. The fan quit on the first unit I had after only having it a week. They replaced the unit immediately, but that has to tell you something.

i do apologise if i rubbed anyone the wrong way with anything ive said. as it has been stated, vapor is vapor, and if you have a machine that spits it out at you, in whatever form, you are probably loving it. in my eyes, what makes one unit better than another is the thickness of hits you are able to draw from them with one standard hit. and altho i do save my vapash and cook with it, i look for a vaporizer that best toasts the herb most thoroughly. and those reasons right there are why i firmly hold that the ssv is a superior product to its competition. id suggest aganist the vapir due to the reason vicki stated, what with it being nearly impossible(without being completely anal) to avoid vapor lossage due to the fan. plus it is kindof annoying having to grind up the weed and load it in those little chambers....and the warmup/cooldown time can be annoying when youre in a hurry and just want a quick hit. and it kindof sucks if you just want one hit every so often, just not practical for that kind of usage.

| when the thread was made it was asking what is a good vaporizer for someone who doesnt want to pay for a cano but then suddenly tokinGLX turned it into how the ssv is the best so im just wondering how someone who supposidly didnt know what vape to buy is suddenly campaigning for the ssv. sounds like free advertising to me. |

| Hahaha, very nice. I just wanted to chime in on this - I owned a Vapor Bros for a while. Fantastic machine, but I never quite got very good at the whip method. I noticed that I could just keep taking hits out of it and get higher and higher, though, even if I didn't see vapor. In retrospect though, I wish I could try the thing just once more because I think I had it turned a bit too low - I always kept it at 9 o' clock, someone else who has owned one might know a better setting. Now, Vapor Bros = Vapor Warez. The Warez just has a better warranty, so I would spring for that if anything. I don't know anything about the SSV, but it is clearly a superior machine to the Vapor Bros/Warez at least in terms of construction and appearance. Whether or not the heater or draw system is better is up to debate. Both vapes are basically the exact same concept - ceramic heater, glass on glass, a great experience either way. I would stay away from any Vapir-related product. They lie, a LOT, on all kinds of websites, with planted reviews. Their products are known to die quickly, warranties are extremely short, and they leak. It's made out of cheap plastic and while it does have some great qualities, such as a small, portable size and bag delivery, the bad outweighs the good heavily when you consider that you could have a quality and reliable unit that will last you YEARS compared to a Vapir that *might* outperform a VaporBros/Warez for the month or so it's in operation. That is, after you tape up all the leaks. Plus, they're noisy, and Bros/Warez are only as loud as the air rushing through the unit - that is to say, practically silent. Something else to consider is an HerbalAire. You don't hear much talk about them on this site but from everything I've heard and seen it's a quality unit. It's a straight draw (whip) and bag delivery vape. They're now on revision 2.1 - the older revisions were only straight draw. Because it's the same basic unit with some improvements, in order to make it work with a bag it has an external pump quite similar to an aquarium pump. This has its drawbacks in that it takes two plugs and the pump is one more thing to carry (it's about the size of a keypad and 2-3" thick), but it's also easily and CHEAPLY (~$10) replaceable. There's been talk about the HerbalAire being able to get a bag or two of vapor from Volcano duff. You can search it, a lot of people have said so, and there's a video on YouTube about it. It has something to do with the "eighteen tiny pulsating jets" that fire the hot air through the herb instead of the simple 6 holes that the Volcano has. It's pretty cool all in all. The other drawback with the HA is that it takes much longer to fill a bag - 3-4 minutes. Great for personal use but not so much for parties. There's also talk about getting a faster pump (stock pump is 1 liter/min, you can get pumps that'll do 2, 3, probably 4 or more). Apparently the HA has a microchip in it that regulates temperature based on the airflow and will keep it within spec as much as it can. I don't own one at the moment but I'm planning on it in a week or so. I'll do a write-up when I do. Hope that helps. |
