Alright, so I gotta vaporizer in order to save my voice....I don't smoke regularly maybe every other week or 2 weeks...because I am a singer signed to a major record label...I used to of course smoke blunts but I eventually started losing my voice when I did that, so then I tried the gravity bong thing which was okay but I still kinda lot my voice and about two weeks ago I did a gravity bong and smoked with some zig zags...I lost my voice...I didnt smoke for like 2 weeks and got a vaporizer last night and smoked out of it cuz I had heard that its the blunt paper and all that, that burns and hurts your vocal cords and I thought a vaporizer wouldn't do that, but my voice feels bad right now and I don't think I can sing...it still kinda burned my throat out the vape and it was just like smoking...so is it the weed that does it? and will my voice heal and be okay?...I just started smoking weed ever in june...for about my first month I smoked like every other day or two days like 1 blunt then stopped and started spacing it out like week or two apart...will my voice heal and did the vape not help and its really the weed and its smoke doing this?

| Smoking is never good for anyone. I don't think anyone here can tell you if your throat will heal completely just by solely vaporizing, but it is better than smoking. I have health problems as well, and vaporizing has only helped me. ![]()

You could always cook your pot into food, no harmful smoke or harsh vapor to irritate your throat! ![]()

Or, if it's a whip style vaporizer (Vapor Brothers, Vapor Warez, Silver Surfer, several others), you can buy a little bubbler water chamber to put on the end of the whip. It should cool down the vapor, possibly eliminating your throat problem. Also, are you sure you're not setting the temperature too high? If you set it too high there's a possibility that the weed will combust, causing you to inhale smoke instead of vapor. Good luck.

When you vaporize correctly you should have almost no throat irritation. It can take a while to learn how to use a vap perfectly, so i guess that is a decision you are going to have to make of whether you want to continue using it o rnot. Your temperature might have been set higher than it needed to be causing some irritation.

It would be helpful to know which vaporizer you have. A description would do if it's a no-name vape. Used properly, it only puts out vapor (no smoke), which is much kinder to the throat and lungs. You can dry out your throat somewhat by hitting a vaporizer, depending on the vape and how you draw on it, but a little water and you should be back to normal. Vapor hits should be pretty mild. Unless your temp is too hot or you're taking really big hits, you should barely be aware that you're getting vapor. I've never heard of anyone having voice problems with vaping, but even if it's causing you problems, I certainly don't think you've done any permanent damage.
