I had mine on about 11 O'clock to start and turned it up to 1-2 after about 2 or 3 stirs(probably 6-8 hits) and it worked like a f'n charm. I knew how to use the thing before I even touched it because I've read so much on here.. Honestly, I took it over to the dude's house and it seemed to perform to its optimum level.. which was cool.

The "talk" is not quite accurate. It's not the heating element, it's the heater cover. And if it has a screen, like yours, it's not a big deal-more of a nuisance. The Vaporcannon cover has come with a screen for quite a while now, several years I think. Even with a screen, people complain about the angle.

You're not getting smoke, but vapor. Not that you can't get smoke, it's just not a good thing.

You can't really rely on any two units being identical as far as having the same temp at the same setting. Sometimes the difference can be where the dial is pointing when the temp knob is installed. The temp control itself can be calibrated differently. And the heating elements often differ slightly in their heat output.

You need to find the vaping range for your particular unit-high and low, and vape in the range that keeps your weed from blackening. How hard you draw also affects the temp.

How much you packing? I usually use very little (just a real thin layer of mj)

It would have to get dumped on a lot to need messing with. Even then, assuming the heater cover is installed for easy removal, it should only need a little cleaning. You don't have to use the vape with that angle. Prop up the back end so the heater angle is horizontal and you don't have to worry about the herb falling out.
