went down and chatted with the boys at the ssv factory, theyve been playing around with some new colored units, the green one has gotten a go for production. being that this is broncos country, they also had a couple orange units with blue bases around. quite spiffy looking indeed.

...a couple pics of the green(with a black base, they come with green and yellow bases as well), and one with a beer bottle for size reference.

and some info i picked up, the heating element, due to its makeup, is nearly impossible to break because it has the same crystalline structure as a ruby. then he causually mentioned that the unit itself, aside from the glass, is virtually indestructable. he took the knob off of the unit in front of us, and slammed it a few times(not gently) against the table.

he also mentioned that they are in preproduction of a unit that functions similarily, but is stripped of all the frills. no glass, no customizable colors, and i think they all come standard with the hands free/ground glass wand. "the buddha" it will be called, and will be cheaper than its ssv brethren.

fuckin a I just bought an SSV a month ago. god I want this green one so bad. fuuuuuuuck

when the black ones came out, i picked one of those up and sold my 6ish month old silver one to a friend. if i had to choose between the black and the green....man. i dunno. the black is sharp looking, professional, almost. the green is just shnazzy and almost eager looking.

there is another color i believe he said he will be producing, i saw a sample of it, and it really takes the cake. ill explain the best i can...it was like taking a black unit, and then applying a good coating of a pearlescent like speckling.

That green unit is incredibly sick looking. I've seen vapos that appeal to my pragmatic side on a functional level, but that's the first one I've seen that appeals to me on an aesthetic level.

And if you're talking about what I think you're talking about with the black SSV with speckling, oh my god, I saw a bong yesterday that had the same style of color and I loved it.

Wow that is a pretty, pretty vapo. That's the only one I've seen that I actually LIKED looking at. When my parents come over I'll just tell them it's a sculpture

The green is nice, but I still prefer the black on black. Looking forward to seeing the new fancy black one.
