| I was emailing the owner and he informed me that they are releasing a new Digital V-Tower(called the Extreme Vaporizer) here in the near future. Here are some videos to see it in action. Looks very nice with lots of cool features, including a bag system and a setting called vaporblast. I got the current one at $159 which is about the max I'll pay so we'll see what this one cost but over $249 and I wouldn't have bought it anyway all thought it looks as nice as anything else out there under $300. Gota love Youtube .

He's got it all covered with this new model. It's basically the V-Tower with add ons-digital readout, fan, battery pack. I would expect a price between $250-300. It's digital based and I notice he doesn't mention anything about that. So we don't know anything about the temp accuracy or whether there's any digital control of the temp. Used with the fan, it shouldn't be an issue, since the fan should provide a steady airflow. Warranty period is also unknown and that would be a big consideration for me with the addition of digital. I've been using the V-Tower for a while and it's a really nice unit-very stealthy when you plop the potpourri bowl on and put away the whip. Now there's more stuff to put away and a digital display that would draw a lot of attention. So there's a bit less stealth now. On the plus side, you get a lot for your money-direct draw (I assume with or without the fan), forced air direct draw, bag fill ala Volcano and herbalAire, battery pack for portability. The big question would be reliability. With the previous model, like most whip vapes, all you really have to worry about is the heating element, and good quality ceramic heaters are pretty reliable. With the Extreme, more features means there's more to go wrong. So, a lot of vape for the money, but you've got to depend on the guy staying in the business if you need service down the road.

Yea, I feel he really added all the right features, a lot of them also. I didn't know you owned a V-Tower 5drive. I haven't owned another electric unit so I don't have much to compare it to, I do give it good ratings across the board 9's but I realized just how much I love my VaporStar for all of it's pluses. I just re-ordered a bulk amount of VaporStars at a discount and before it's done I'll own 10 of them esp with the new pipe he showed me that will be standard Q1 of 08, it's small thick glass that can fit in your pocket. I'm giveing the V-Tower another month to impress me but it's things that can't change that just make electric to much crap to deal with. From hard to hide, to the cord on the floor if you use it on your couch, to warm up, to the number of pieces(Bowls, whips ect..) you have to deal with. It's nice but by no means another level like others describe the only thing it is superior at is the lack of butane compared to a lighter based unit. I like my V-Tower, I love my VaporStars. The V-Tower may grow on me so we'll see, but after I used it just twice I knew I wanted a lifetime supply of VaporStars and now I have 6(hehe) once they get here in the mail. ![]() Last edited by SuperTorch : 12-19-2007 at 02:24 AM.

Yeah I like the V-Tower in placed of the typical box unit-better stability (weight) and stealth. It's my favorite for vaping loose/ground weed. I still prefer my Vapolution and herbalAire for vaping small pieces though. The herbalAire can handle ground weed, but pieces are easier. Box whips still get the convenience edge over the V-Tower for easy removal of the weed from the heat source though. The Vaporstar guy should be giving you a really big discount. Your posts have probably sold more than a few units for him. ![]()

For me it's the unit of choice for simplicity/stealth/fun/portability and everyone should own one and people with only $50 should start with one. Electric I think for me at least, stray to far into the hassle world, but there are times that it's grown on me so I'm not giving up on the electric units yet and I do like the way they consistently deliver the same hit over and over. My VaporStar I can hit it light or hit it hard then hide it under a t-shirt if need be. For me and my taste it was a matter of getting it right the first time. here's the first post I made about the VaporStar before I owned it and I guess the first post on this site about it. ![]() http://www.marijuana.com/vaporizers/...t-holycow.html

I'm asking the vendor a few questions regards digital control, pricing etc. I'll post the dialogue when he replies.

![]() Are these available in the U.S ? The "new pipe" you refer to. Do you know what it looks like? Have you ever tried using the heating element in a brier pipe typical to what anyone might purchase from a local tobacconist? . . .

The new pipe is really cool, he emailed me a picture and I deleted it like a dumb *SS, but it's very VaporStarish, in the since that it really delivers or should. What it looks like is a angled mouth piece/recliner that is extra thick but the bottom portion is flattened to fit in a purse or coat pocket. It's about 4 inches long 1 inch wide and the more I looked at it the more I thought YEP, thats a nice strait forward pipe, thick, simple, stylish and just flat out cool. Yes the heating element is versatile if it fits your device it will vaporize whats underneath it. Most novelty shops(what their called in my state) have a standard large bowl for pipes and bongs. The VaporStar fits nicely into it and works fabulous with its larger size producing some monster vapors. It also allows you to build a custom pipe, I have one you can see over in the post pics of your vaporizers it's the 5th pic where I made my own little pipe with a see through barrel to watch for vapors, its very small and portable, but I like my Original VaporStars the best, I do have a bunch of little pipes I have my eye on on EDIT waiting for free shipping next year. http://www.marijuana.com/vaporizers/...our-vapes.html Post #25 Last edited by SuperTorch : 12-23-2007 at 01:44 AM.
