I've read a bit of the ones advertised on this site.. they claim "4-6X" the efficiency of smoking.

Is this anywhere near the truth? If so, I think I'll have to invest in a vaporizor..any suggestions on which one (best bang for the buck, preferably.)?

I'd say, on average, a bong is about 2X as "efficient" (gets you high with less weed) than dubes (but man, do I enjoy a good joint...).

Hands down the best vaporizer is a Volcano, but they aren't cheap. About $500 on average.
TM42 bought a different make/model vape recently at the recommendation of another member. It was under $150 and came with accessories that made it a top-notch value. VaporBros? VaporCannon?
I can't remember what the make/model is, but I'm sure if you poke around in the Vaporizer forum (this one), you should be able to glean that info.

TM42 has a Vapor Warez, as I do as well.

I am not sure about exact numbers, but I know I use about half the herb vaporizing vs. smoking.

Another proud Warez owner right here. There are many others on this forum. I use anywhere from .04 to .1 grams in a bowl. .1 would get me very high. You will use a lot less and get a better (imo), cleaner high. The taste is amazing as well...just like pure bud, no nasty by-products from combustion.

After you save up some vaped weed (ABV) you can make edibles and get high off the same weed you already vaped. Great success!

On the rare occasion I smoke, it is amazing to me how much different smoke feels. Sometimes when I'm vaping, I have to watch my hit as I exhale to make sure I got some vapor. Smoke just tastes like smoke to me now...no matter how good the buddha is.

The 'value' vaporizer Darque is referring to is the Vaporwarez VaporCannon. It's the safest buy in a low priced vape, available from vaporwarez.com, various on-line dealers or on ebay at $120-140 (standard or hands free), with grinder and scale. Check out the 'vaporizers 101' video on youtube to see what's involved in using a whip style vape.

What about the vaporizer that is shaped like a pipe that I saw on an ad here? It was like $50... but even something in the $100-150 range ain't too bad if it conserves a lot of weed.....

i wouldn't recommend those just because the temputare is alot harder to control than with a whip vape.

i can also vouch for the cannon it conserves alot.

Sure it is!

It's too bad companies can't be sued for making false claims about their products.

I find that it stretches my stash 2:1 and provides a much more enjoyable experience.

I am also a happy VaporWarez customer.

I wouldn't bother. It's a conduction vape fired by a lighter with no temperature control. You want a convection vape that allows you to dial in the right temperature.

When you say "it stretches my stash 2:1" do you mean vs dubes or vs bongs?

I already find that bongs stretch the stash about 2:1 vs dubes, perhaps..... I never really measured. Just an estimated guess
