| I am getting ready to clean my vaporcannon for the first time and I have a few questions. First I am going to use 91% iso alcohol b/c I want to retain as much resin as I can to smoke later. Does anyone have a good technique for doing this and evaporating the alcohol? Also, can you soak the tubing and extract any resin from it? That seems like kind of a pain but I like to conserve as much as possible. Any suggestions are welcome as I have never done this b4, I am going to run and buy some screens, replacing that looks like a pain in the ass!! |

| Do not apply any kind of solvent or cleaner to your tubing. It should take quite a while to accumulate a significant amount of residue in the tubing. When you reach that point the best idea I've seen is one that someone posted a while back. Get a screw with the appropriate size head and pull it through the tubing with some strong string. You'll scrape most of the residue off the inside wall of the tubing and pull it out. |

| I have heard of people soaking their peice and then evaping the alcohol so only the resin remains. Maybe that is a bad idea, I am not sure now. I will probably just wait a few days now anyway b/c people are coming over to use it and i don't have time to clean it. |

| I fill up my whip with alcohol, cap both ends, and hang it over the showerhead overnight. Then I pour the alcohol through a coffee filter into a custard cup. I use alcohol-soaked pipe cleaners to get out any stubborn bits. I put the custard cup in a dark, cool room with a fan blowing the air around. The alcohol evaporates, leaving the inside of the custard cup coated in golden goo. The tubing never really comes clean. Fortunately, you can buy enough of the same kind of tubing at Home Depot to make five replacements for around $5.50. I've never heard of isopropyl alcohol having any kind of interaction with the tubing, but if you're worried about that, don't fill up the whole whip. Just remove the glass parts and soak them in alcohol.

| It varies. It all depends on the temperature, the humidity, and how much surface area is exposed to air, how much air movement there is. A day. Maybe two. Quote:
I used to drop it on weed in my vape, but that tended to gum things up. My most recent endeavor was to melt six ounces of Trader Joe's 72% cacao chocolate in the custard cup by putting it in a shallow pan of simmering water. Stir it around until the hash oil dissolves thoroughly into the chocolate's fat. Put a piece of aluminum foil on a cookie sheet and pour the chocolate out on it. When it solidifies, you have a very tasty and potent chocolate bar. | |

| Well I just finished my cleaning of my vape and two pipes and I must say the 91% iso worked wonders. I soaked all my pieces for about 3 hours, scrapped them out with a paperclip and rinsed the resin into the alcohol then finished polishing with qtips. My metal pipe came out perfect, cleanest it has ever been. my vape looks brand new including the screen and my glass pipe also looks almost brand new except the side of the bowl opposite the carb. Thanks again for all of your help, this will be my primary cleaning method from now on. I will let you know how the evap and consumption process go. I am thinking of mixing my res with my vape ash and then making a pbj with it or i will just smoke it. |

| Hi, I found this thread in search of cleaning my vaporwarez. I have a question for Buzzby - How do you cap the ends of the whip? I find it difficult to get a tight seal, and thus difficult to entirely fill my whip w/ the alcohol. |
