I felt the very same way and the 1st vaporizer reviews are some of my favorite as I love the perspective, plus I am relatively new myself.

I remember that feeling when waiting for it to get here. Mine lived up to that expectation and I hope yours does too.

I'm finding I have to use at least .4 or .5, and pack it super tight, just so there's enough to get a decent hit. This is causing me to use more weed than normal. How are you guys managing to get good hauls off .2's?

Should I pack in a 1/4 inch of AVB before the bud, so that there's enough substance to produce a hit without using up my whole stash? I know it takes everyone a few days to get the hang of it, but I'm worried I either won't learn, or I've got a minor defect. Sometimes I get hits that make me cough like hell, sometimes nothing.

Wildtiger, I am unsure how to correct your problem. No one else has reported the issues you are having. Typically though I fill up mine up quite a bit almost a half inch from the tip of the wand, thats just how I like it and I im good alone for close to an hour.

I can do the recommend size which is to fill the hour glass area and go for about 30 minutes.

I honestly believe you are not drawing on it correctly or perhaps you may another type of vape may suite you better like an assisted air vape verses direct draw so that the issue of inhaling correctly is eliminated.

The trade off is that its reported that assisted air vapes dont give the thicker draws you can get off a direct draw vapes but for whats it worth it I believe it probably ends with the same type of high in the end and more efficient in the vape process aswell but that is only my opinion.

What type of quality grade is your material? While that had an effect you should be pulling thick draws with medium to low quality.

What temperature are you using again, try it at 3 - 4 o'clock and expect a thick draw on the second and third draw, the first draw will likely be tasty but not much if any vapor.

I feel bad for you, I know its a leap of faith so to speak to try vaping without using it before and in your case the experience has thus not been good. Too better results.

I'm not really disappointed, I've been getting great hits... but I'm sure all DB users can agree it takes about 4. or .5 to fill the hourglass. Which threw me off as I was expecting a bunch of hits off .2, like tokin in his videos.

I did, however, just experiment with filling the hourglass with avb and putting .1 of fresh stuff above it. I got a few good hauls. Is this the way to go, or a bad idea?

I know I'm hitting it right, it's just a matter of keeping the fresh herbs near the heat, which I can only do by stuffing it with avb.

keep in mind that i, in my videos, used a ssv, not a db. but still, if you need .4 in there to get good hits, something is wrong with it. i usually pack a .3 bowl and that rips like a true champ for many hits. call the 7th floor folk up and talk to them about getting yours replaced.

It's like this machine is playing tricks on me, or I'm just real vaped..

Is it bad if I'm coughing a lot? My herb never goes past light brownish so I know I'm not burning it.

take a sip of tea or something from time to time, it eliminates that in my case.

After much thought and reading It came down to the herbalaire... then, right before I made the purchase, I came upon this thread and read it all. Thanks to all the reviews on here I not only ordered a quality first vape this morning, but I also have enough money left over to get a quarter pretty excited, I got the $28 2-day air shipping along with a bunch of extra screens and an extra whip. Thanks for all the help, hopefully she lives up to the hype

I'll be sure to give my full review when it arrives, it'll be my first vape session.

I don't know what I was doing wrong before, but it's working great for me now. Crank it for a few minutes, turn it down to 3 or 4 o'clock, and get half a dozen huge hits off not that much. I'm so happy with it!

I took it to a party tonight and everyone who hit it was blown away, they didn't know such good vapes existed. A couple of them were seriously considering buying DB after a few hauls.
