I think the DB's temp knobs are setup differently from the factory. The range on mine starts at 7oclock and ends at 5. I start getting vapor at 12, which is exactly half-power the way mine is set up, then I finish up a hair before 3. At 3 and beyond the bud starts to brown and black a little too much. It's easy to take the knob off and change its position, but I like how mine was setup because I start at half power, which has the knob marker facing straight up.

And nice to see another person likes DB over the SSV, Professor. I agree with you on the clear wands - I like to see how much goo is in there!

Amen to that my bruddah

Honestly, I thought I would end up buying another SSV or bring my Da Buddha to the machine shop and make it a bit more SSV like, but honestly, I like it as is. Down the road I may have a custom wand made, but rest assured, it will be clear glass.

Only thing I'm going to do is take this little flexible 4.5 volt tiny snakelight and integrate it into the Da Buddha. Right now it's just clipped to the top of the Da Buddha, but will make it integrated on Monday into the Da Buddha. I prefer having a on board light on all Vaporizers I own.

This is the light I'm using, Monday it will be added properly and won't be using DC power or batteries. I guess one could use it as it, but I'm going to adapt it properly so it looks nice.

I feel the same way on the glass and I have also been thinking of ways to customize it too, outside of glass.

What kind of light is that exactly? The link you posted in a previous reply doesn't work. I usually go by taste and how brown the material is, but I'd be interested in trying it by sight as well. What color is the vapor when it's nearing it's end? Anyway, keep us updated on Da Buddha mods!

Go to Amazon.com, then type in:

Fulcrum Multi Flex LED Book Light, Silver

The black one is $7.98 and the silver one is about $10

I decided last night to mod the fulcrum LED light itself without any modifications tapping into the Da Buddha's power source to power the light, so I don't void the Da Buddha warrantee

Instead, I simply removed the clip on the light, grinded the plastic clip mechanism with a dremmel, then affixed the light with velcro, and the Da Buddha has a on-board light, the light throws a beam pretty decent.

As far as the vapor color, it turns darkish as the vapor is nearly spent. Without a clear whip and a light, even in a bright room, having a small light is the way I roll. PS, I used to use a Surefire LED flashlight to view the stream, but that's inconvenient.

I'm really surprised some Vape manufacturers add those silly led green and blue LEDs in the base which are dumb and useless. If they had a light add on like the one I use, I'd buy it from them as having a usable light is always a nice feature.

Here's a better picture of the Fulcrum LED light with a can of Fancy Feast for size comparison. In a bit I'll mozy to the vape and take a finished picture of the Da Buddha's new shiny LED light

Note the Da Buddha Sticker for the battery pack

Default Da Buddha on board LED light 1.0

This is the Da Buddha light 1.0

Da Buddha light 2.0 is in the works, going to make a 10x10x14" rectangular box in black marble with a separate base with a small 4.5v motor, 4 small cylinders and actuator to raise the box revealing the Da Buddha inside, hiding it in plane sight, but no button or any way of lifting the top, only way will be with a remote that I'll program into my Logitech HTPC remote control

When I make this, I'll make a marble baseplate and stuff a 4.5v ac/dc psu inside to do away with the battery pack and make it look nice.

Did you make that or are they giving out DB stickers now? I have a couple SSV stickers, but I always thought if they made Da Buddha stickers they would look a lot more interesting. How did you get the "DBV" on Da Buddha in the other pic you posted? It look like it's shining from the light. Very cool stuff my man.

7th Floor included two Da Buddha stickers, the DBV on the tube comes that way, appears to be powdercoated then baked.

Its kind of funny, the powerdercoating wasn't the only thing baked. The on/off temp control switch is about a 1/2" off center to the wand hole. Whomever tapped that hole might have just finshed 'testing' new wand designs or what not, but I think it gives my Da Buddha a little extra charm.

PS, 7th Floor gave me free shipping on a spare whip I just ordered as they had offered me a shipping refund for the delayed shipping. They are good people there.

Nice setup Professor.

Proud to say my DB is on the way... cleared customs yesterday and if not for the holiday here in the Great White North, I'd probably have it already.

I've got some OG Kush, Arjan's Haze, Peak 19, Island Honey, and God Bud coming that should be here tomorrow too, so I'll be waiting anxiously for the postman to come by

I can't wait to put this thing through it's paces.
