Default Vaporizing questions (Vapir Air 5.0)

I just got this unit and used it once and it was awesome. I taped up all the cracks and the unit worked nicely. I was surprised it only takes about 5 seconds to heat up.

If anyone else has this unit, can you describe the process you use? I'm not sure what temperature I should use. Should I leave in the tray (without the herb disc) while it heats up then insert the disc quickly? Do you just keep vaping until you no longer feel the disc is working?

Also, has anyone used an oven bag? How did you get it to work?

I'm not a Vapir owner but I can tell you that your vape is not getting up to vaporizing temp in 5 seconds. There isn't an electric vape of any kind that will reach vaping temp that fast.

Here's some good info on vaping temps.

Cannabis Vaporizer Study

You want to be between 350 and 400F, with the lower end being the safer zone for avoiding toxins. I couldn't tell you if the Vapir display is accurate or not. Leftovers should be brown and not black. You definitely want to load your disk AFTER the unit has reached the proper temp.

I have a Voodoo, basically same thing as yours. I have never used an oven bag, only the mint bags they provided. I don't use it anymore, though.

I just turned it on and timed it, took 7 seconds to get to 175C, which was what I was using last night with good results. How can you say it doesn't take 5 seconds if you don't have one?

For the Vapir a lot depends on the ambient temperature and fan speed.

5 seconds is fast though. I've owned 3 myself, but not Vapir 5.

Can anyone with a 5.0 comment on their heating time? How long does it take to get to 175C with the fan on low? It took me 7 seconds, but I'm kind of worried if this is such an abnormal time for the unit.

On the low makes sense - slow fan speed = faster heat up.

How long do your other vapir's take to warm up to ~175C?

The reason we doubt 5-7 second heat-up times is that there really is no heater that is that quick.

Here's a quote from Vapir's specs:

Quote:
Heat Up Time (from cold):
250F/120C - up to 60 seconds
365F/185C - up to 2 minutes
* Even faster heat up times if still warm from previous use*
Even the HerbalAire, which heats REALLY quickly compared to any whip vape I've seen, takes about 2 minutes.

Now I'm kind of worried. Used it today with an oven bag, worked great again. However, it still only took the ~7 seconds to heat up to 350F. Produced nice vapor that obviously worked on two people.

Can someone with an actual 5.0 on them see how long it takes to get around 175C / 350F?
