Well, needless to say, I am a monkey.

I live in a monkey town, where all us monkeys jump around, a part of this bigger moneky land (one of those countiers you'd find REALLY hard to withstand).

among us monkeys im quite tall (i.e. - i can write, and all...)

but compared to you guys - i feel small (you are humans - and im just an ape from the 3rd world)

for the last 8 years i've been consuming THC from every available source.
the majority of that are the low grade weed and low grade hash that are so abundant in my country - mixed with tobbacco and smoked mainly in bongs.

i am pretty much waiking & baking daily for the last 6 years or so.

througout all this time i contineuslly searched for the method of consumtion that will allow me to get my so beloved high - with out the major healt risks involved in smoking bongs - however - no matter what i tried or how desperate i was - i always found my way back to the same old bong.

a few years back i bought a BC Vap - but sadly i found out that the high it produced from the low garde hash/MJ was very very poor (much less than the same shitty substance smoked in bongs).
when tried it with some quality-hydro-bud it was effective - but it still cunsumed about twice more weed that i needed when using bongs.
and since any way i couldn't afford my self a daily diet based on hydro-bud - i returend to the bong (again).

well, it seems that now i can finally afford myself this rich diet (hopefully it's not too late for my lungs) - so for the last weeks im smoking large amounts of high-grade weed, in bong, (tobbacco free) - and as of this moment, the bong is gone for good (hooray!)

now, i need your help in order to find out - which is the best vaporizer for me?

(clearely it's not the BC - though i'll use it untill the new one will arrive)

in my county there is a very small selection of vaporizers (most of the monkeys do not use them anyhow) - and since the option of having a trip to amsterdam only to test and find my perfect vap is off the schedule for now - i need to use your experties.

which vaporizer do you think will replace the bong in the best way?

from the liitle readings that i've done here it seems to me like im looking for a convection type vaporizer - is that right? i guess there are a lot of brands - how will i tell which is the perfect one for me? please help...

You can't buy on-line? Hard to advise if you have to shop brick and mortar and we don't know your selection. On-line there are many choices. What is your price range? The absolute best deal around for a decent, dependable, name brand vape is the Pure Vaporizer, available on ebay for $55 delivered. A bigger name brand from a rock solid company would be the Vaporwarez VaporCannon for $120. These are convection whip vapes of the box type. See 'vaporizers 101' on youtube.com for a demo. If you've got more $ to spend there are other quality vapes out there with different looks and options.

i can and plan to buy online.

$$$ is not the issue (monkey only care for bannanna).

i also checked the videos of the denver dude instructing of how to use the silver surfer vap and thought to my self that it can work for me as well - but maybe there's a better one yet...

the most important parameter for me is the quality of the high - i need a vap that will suck the high out of the weed as fast and efficient as possible (and deliver it to me of course).
the second important thing is the vap to be reliable and easy to maintain/fix if needed.
price is only the 3rd parameter - something between $120 - $500 seems right (not that i have a problem of paying less or even more - as long as it's my dream vap that im getting)

If you have $500 to spend, get yourself a Volcano. The general consensus is that the Volcano is the most efficient vape on the market, i.e. it squeezes the most out of a load of weed.

I've been very happy with my VaporWarez machine that cost $120 delivered, with a bonus 4-piece grinder and a digital scale. In fact, I just bought another one as a gift for my best friend.

The bag units are the most efficient-a steady airflow makes for the same results every time. The Volcano would probably be the fastest filler, at least of the major name brands. The herbalAire is just as efficient, if not more so. I've been using mine for well over a year, and have been very satisfied. It has less surface area in the heating chamber than the cano, and more air outlets (18). Any good whip vape can be just as efficient, but it generally takes a little more work to achieve.

It's much easier for a good, analog whip vape to be problem free vs. a bag unit or digital whip vape. With a simple whip unit the only part you have to worry about is the very reliable heating element. Some even have a lifetime warranty. As for the bag vapes-HerbalAire -2 yr. warranty. Volcano -2 for Digit and 3 for Classic. Both very reliable. HerbalAire is very easy to clean. Volcano has more parts in the vapor path.

thanks for all the advices.

i searched the forum for realted topics and found out many threads that helped me to shade more light on the subject.

this new knowlegde can be very confusing - all this divesrity makes desicion making pretty hard...

i think that if i had to choose between the bag method and the whip method i would go for the whip - although supposed to be less efficient and not automated - it sems to me as it is more "organic" - similar to the bong, the whip style vaporizers looks to me like an extention of the body and you have to use your body (in these cases - mainly by breathing) in order to control your high.

the whip style vaps are also less complicated, so chances are that they will require less maintenance and are less likely to malfunction.

and they do cost less... ....so whip it is!

(im ruling out the hybrid vaps - hope that's not a mistake).

at the moment im in favore of the SSV (got caught in the wave - but it seems that my monkey land is not listed on their site as a shipping destination

i didn't find any SSV's offered on ebay - so i'll try to contact them and ask if they got some solution for me (perphaps someone here got a solution?).

Anyway, i got some more questions...

my BS B.C. BC vap accumulated a thick layer of residue on the inside of its jar (i call it "sticky-shit") - the last time that happened i spent a couple of hours collecting it using butane gas and a toothpick - and then it supplied me with a day's worth of best high - but still, is there any way to avoide this residue to accumulate?

what happens to this residue in the whip style vaps?

there's a drop of this residue that is forming right above the heating element - if i'll continue to use the BC vap for another month or so without treating this drop, it will be bound to drip and send me tripping as hell - has anyone here ever experienced that sticky-shit dripping?

the ssv people will ship anywhere in the world, if you happen to need the uk type plug, they make them with those as well so you dont need an adapter.

after a couple weeks of heavy usage you will see some vapor resin accumulate in the glass wand. all you have to do is scrape that stuff out like you are scraping a pipe, it scrapes absolutely spotless clean within a few minutes(you have to scrape a bit, then let it sit for a couple minutes, then scrape again. all the stuff in there that you scrape out will get you right fucked when smoked/vaped.

A whip vape, since it takes more effort and attention, gives you more of a feeling of accomplishment vs. hitting a bag of vapor. The thing I like best with using a whip type is being able to get those really big hits that I can't tolerate anymore with smoke.

I don't know about the Vapir One/Voodoo, but the direct draw hits from the herbalAire are thin and not satisfying at all. Effective, yes, but not enjoyable. The only dual mode vape that would probably give good direct draw hits is the Extreme Vaporizer, which is an upgraded V-Tower. And since you're not in the US and reliability is still unknown for the Extreme, I'd pass on that one.

Good choice . You might also consider the SSV's new little brother-Da Buddha. It has, according to tokinGLX, the same performance and internal components as the SSV, but in a slightly smaller and cheaper (by about $80) package. dabuddhavaporizer.com

Nope. It's vapor condensing on the glass. You can decrease the amount that condenses by preheating the whip. The warm vapor condenses quicker and in greater amounts on cold glass (or whatever). If your whip is hot there's less difference in temp and therefore less condensation. Doesn't mean it still won't condense on the inside of the tubing. With the BC vape (my first vape as well ), that glass globe isn't gonna heat up very much unless you stick it in the microwave first.
