| I just ordered the 2-piece Heavy-Duty Hands Free Handkit (whip) from Vapor Warez because I am sick of changing screens. ![]() I have not seen a thread (recently) dedicated to this horrible chore, so I thought I would make one now to discuss what I just found out. Apparently, there are 2 different kinds of hands free whips available. One is "light duty" (made in China) and one is "heavy duty." (made in Texas) The light duty whip is not as sturdy as the heavy duty and is really more for occasional use, i.e.-couple times a week. The heavy duty whip does not screw apart like the light duty whip does, but I was reassured by the owner that it would not be a problem. I would rather have a more sturdy whip than have one that may not last. I am just sick of changing the damn screen because it is such a pain in the ass. I plan to keep my other 2 hands free whips as back up's, just in case, but probably wont use them much. I guess there was an issue with the screw apart whip, and it breaking easily. I know I saw someone say something about it here. Possibly trocisp. I think the heavy duty whip solves that problem, as it just fits together with a rubber seal. I'll get mine in about a week, and after I use it a while, I'll know more. ![]()

| I've been using the equivalent of your heavy-duty two-piece whip for quite a while. Changing screens is quick and easy. Other than that, they work just like the one-piece whips. When you reassemble the whip, you need to keep the two pieces carefully aligned as you push them back together. If you don't, it's very easy to chip the leading edge of the inner piece. When that happens, it will no longer create a good seal and particles of weed can be sucked down the hose. Before I learned that, I chipped mine. It was a very tedious process to grind down the glass until I had a new solid edge.

| I received my new 2 piece whip earlier today, and I really like it a lot. The screen surface area is huge compared to the regular, and even the hands free whips. It seems I have been able to use a little less herb, covering the whole screen area. It's just like the other whips, except it comes apart in the middle for easier screen changing. I carefully pulled it apart, just so I could see how it works. The two pieces of glass are held together with a rubber ring on the bottom piece of glass. I am concerned that I might break it while pulling it apart as it does take a little force. Other than that, I am actually looking forward to changing the screen. ![]() I received an extra screen and rubber ring. I'll use the extra screen while cleaning the old screen. I have a ton of the regular size screens, but only 2 of this bigger size. I'll have to pick more up asap. Anyone know where to get this size? |

| Is there any way you could show pics of the end of the new whip, as well as the screen & how & where you put the weed on the Warez?

| I attached a picture of the two piece heavy duty whip that I just purchased. I captured the picture from the Vapor Warez site. It is basically the same as the old whip, except it comes apart in the middle. You put the herb on the screen like you did before. The screen surface area is much bigger than the old whip. |
