Default Bowls aren't getting any cleaner with alcohol, salt, and water...

I accidentally burnt a batch of weed in my Vapolution All in Wonder bowl. So, now there is black resin inside of it. I left it in 91% alcohol for 24 hours, then did the same with salty warm water, but no avail...

Are there any other solutions I can try? Its so hard to clean, especially since most of resin is PAST the little notch....

There is no perfect cleaning solution, especially when weed and or residue gets burned. You can't just soak the glass and expect that to do the job. I've looked for small bristle brushes but haven't found any small enough. I use pipe cleaners and fold back the end and put some bends in it to make for a better cleaning tool. Try coating the pc with salt. Using the carb hole as an entrance for the pipe cleaner also helps. The dimple in the glass that serves as the screen does make it hard on cleaning. And every dimple is not exactly the same, since the bowls are man made. A dimple that extends down more toward the other end of the bowl will be a better screen, but it'll be harder to get a pipe cleaner by for cleaning. You CAN get the bowl acceptably clean, but cleaning burned carbon completely off can be tough or impossible, depending on where it is on the bowl. I've got two of these bowls and both have a little discoloration (slightly brownish tint) here and there at the end where your weed sits. This is a great bowl for getting thick vapor hits, but the downside is in the cleaning department. If someone else has a good solution for cleaning the inside of a 1/4" inner diameter bowl (with about a 1/16" clearance, if that, at the dimple), I'd like to hear it too.

Well Monarch, you had the right idea.

Are you able to reach the burnt part with some tool, like a paper clip or pipe cleaner? If you're unable to get it off with a tool, try heating up the bowl piece to a high temperature, so the burnt resin isn't hard anymore and you can easily scrape most of it off.

You had the right idea with the alcohol, but alcohol simply won't get off those pesky resin globs or burns that accumulate. You should try the alcohol method again, but this time add the salt with this mixture instead of with the warm water.

A soak usually isn't enough for me either. I suggest you put the bowl, alcohol and salt in a ziploc back, and shake it to high heaven for a little bit. Shaking it helps get a LOT off, and in a lot shorter time(but I still suggest you let it soak for at least a few hours after shaking it). I hope that helps

Your suggestions are good for cleaning out residue, but heating the bowl to a high temp will bake the residue (and maybe some carbon as well) onto the glass. Heating the bowl to vape the residue is what caused the brown stain on mine. You can scrape it off, but it takes a lot of scraping, and getting a tool into the narrow bowl (especially past the dimple) is tough. I'm going to buy some dental tools. Hopefully at least one will reach just past the dimple and help with cleaning that area.

That's because what you've got isn't resin. If it's black, it's carbonized. Carbon is not soluble in alcohol or warm salty water.

Take some powdered cleanser or baking soda, make a paste of it with a little water, and apply it to the area with the carbon deposits. Wrap up the piece in cling wrap so the moisture won't evaporate, and let it sit for 24 hours. The carbon deposits should lift out without much trouble. If there are inaccessible areas where it's stuck, try bending a right angle at the end of a piece of stiff wire to use as a scraper.

You'd rather spend $25 instead of spending a few minutes cleaning a piece? I'm impressed.

I've never required more than alcohol, water, a bit of salt, and pipe cleaners to clean any piece of paraphenilia I've ever had...pipes, bongs, vape whips, one-hitters, etc are all easily cleaned using those items

I'll send you my Vapo bowl with baked on residue. I'll expect it back looking crystal clear.

The great bowl-cleaning challenge of '08...

We could get bookie bets on this action....

Maybe a "dirtiest bowl of the month" contest?
Bookie bets, even!

I'll put grams on TM or Dark with the alcohol, salt an pipe cleaners....
