Default How often do you meet vape-heads?

Based on my social circle it sometimes feels like I'm the only one who knows about these things. As it stands right now, I've been vaping for about seven years and I've never used a vaporizer that I did not purchase myself.

Vape on kids!

Most people I know don't know anything about vaporizing, but they love to use mine.

Most people haven't heard of vaporizing. It's a growing thing though. I can tell just by the number of on-line dealers that have popped up. There are obstacles to switching-cost, usually more hardware than with smoking, social (passing the joint/blunt, etc.). It's not for everybody. Just us discerning folks.

There are people who are afraid of change. (They're called "conservatives".)

There are people who are excited by change and the possibilities of new things.

Cultural change involves inertia, just like any other change in velocity. The majority will drag their feet while the innovative minority move into the future.

All you can do is turn on your poor, benighted brethren and cistern to the joys and efficiencies of vaporization and hope that they don't have their heads so far up their asses that they can't appreciate it.

I guess it could be that smokers are conservatives who are afraid of change and just aren't innovative enough to vape
OR
it could be that some people prefer smoking....

Several years ago before I was even on this board one of The Queen's friends had a new boyfriend that was very much into vaporizing. That was the first time I had ever heard about it, and since the guy was such a tool, it kinda gave me a bad opinion of vaporizing. Why, I don't know, but after I finally tried it out for myself, I now see why he was so up on it. Still doesn't change the fact that the guy was a tool though.

I knew of vaporizing for a long long time but only knew of it really. It was more along the lines of exotic constructionist types and I have never did it until I recently purchased one.

I cant imagine me without one again.

Thanks for all of the replies. I have got some people interested in vaporizing. In fact, now that I'm likely moving, my roommate has ordered a Vapor Genie. Some people look down on the Genie, but both he and I have gotten very good at using it. And he says it's even easier on the throat than the HerbalAire (my weapon of choice.)

Irie!

I personally almost solely use the vape. My theory on why a lot of people seem to like smoking better is the nostalgia factor. Everyone who smokes from a bowl gets this great feeling of this social cultural phenomena that they have been doing for a long time.

Using the vape doesn't give the instant satisfaction that a bowl or bong does. Besides that me and my friends agree that there definitely are different types of high between a vaporizer and bowl. So while some may genuinely prefer the smoke high, I think most of them just like what they're used to. I definitely suggest trying to free your mind a little (hmm I know a substance that's good at doing that...)The physical benefits are great.
