| Hello all. I am new to the forum. Been smoking for quite a while but recently bought a Vapir one 5.0. I like this thing quite a bit, it gets me more stoned than I have ever been, but I have one problem. I set it to the recommended 392F that I have seen floating around the internet but this seems like it may be too high. I get a small amount of smoke and my throat is quite irritated and dry afterwards. This leads me to think the temp. is too high, but I am not sure if this is the correct temp. or if it can vary. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a lot. |

| Why don't you experiment and see if a lower temperature works better for you? I use various temperature settings on my vape, depending on what I'm vaping, how much weed is in the whip, whether or not it's a fresh load or one that's partially exhausted, and if I'm in the mood for fewer, hotter, harsher hits or more, cooler, milder hits. There is no "right" temperature. That's why I think "digital" vaporizers are a waste of money. Instead of people figuring out what works for them under different circumstances, they think they can dial in a temperature and just leave it there. A vape isn't like a microwave oven. You need to interact with it to get optimal results.

| When I used mine, I set it at 389-392ish. They seem to very sensitive, and fluctuate a lot. It's kinda hit or miss. Do the best you can.

| If you're really getting 392F, that's too low to get smoke, and a little high if you want a clean dose. I'd use the display more as a reference than a guarantee of precise temp. As for a dry and irritated throat, vapor can do that. Are you using bag or direct draw? I'll second Buzzby and say go lower. You need to experiment and find the low and high end of your vaping range. Here's some good data on vaping temps. Cannabis Vaporizer Study |
