usually i just smoke my stuff from a glass pipe but i find it burns my throat like a bitch after. what exactly is a vaporizer?? & can you get like a vaporizing pipe or something?

Here's some info to start with, from the home page of this site.

Basically, a vaporzier heats herbs to the point where the active ingredients are released as vapor instead of smoke. This allows the user to get the benefits without getting a lot of the toxins that are released at higher temps and with combustion. Vapor is easier on your throat and lungs as well.

Vaporizers in the pipe form are the most basic design. They work but are more difficult to get consistent results from than from vapes where the heat is obtained via AC outlet or battery pack, and limited with a temperature control.

Lots of good vape models have been discussed in threads on this forum. You can also look at dealer sites like vaporstore, vapedaddy, gotvape, vapenow. These dealers have quite a few models in common. The ones you see on multiple dealer sites are the name brand vapes you'll want to investigate.

5drive gave some useful information. You can get a so called vaporizing pipe. I have one called an Ubie, but I don't recommend it as it is too easy to burn the herb.
