For anyone considering buying a 5.0 who like myself could find very little info from a current owner and stumbled upon this thread here is my take on the one I bought. After first trying out vaping with the light bulb technique just to see what it was about, I saw the potential and decided to purchase an inexpensive whip vape, the Easy Vape digital for 65 shipping included off ebay. After a short learning period and experimentation I got the hang of it except that the digital read out on this unit means squat. It's a guess. So I understand why vapor bro.s and vaporwarez units cost 150, at least the temp will be at the same spot on the dial everytime once you figure it out. I was just not happy with the amount of herb I was using, and the temperature fluctuation, and the heat in my throat. So I started researching and found the only vape in my price range that would fill bags, do the work for me to keep the temp consistant, and looked like from all the videos etc. that it would use less herbs than smoking, was the Vapir One 5.0. It also had other goodies like the water tools and mouth pieces for direct hits and 5 bags with caps. After recieving the unit, and using it for a week I must say I am very pleased with it's performance to price ratio. At a fourth of the volcano's price, and 100 less than an herbal aire(which i believe you have to hook a pump up to, so not an all in one) it delivers great vapor, at a consistent temp, & uses less herbs. The temp guage will jump around as the unit works to maintain a constant temperature, but don't worry this is a consistent temp. If you recorded all the temps displayed over time they would average your setting or within a degree or 2. As with anything new there is a learning curve, but on the 5.0 it was very short. I did notice some vapor leakage and saw the vapir 3.0 tape "mod" thread on another forum. I did not tape my 5.0. To seal some of the leaks I used aquarium silicon. It is temp rated to 400 degrees farenheit (which is hotter than you need to vape your herbs), non toxic, etc. I also did not seal the whole unit, just from the top of the heater to the top of the unit, which is the only area vapor would need to be contained. First I removed the screws that hold the unit together, carefully seperated the halves, then I layed a small bead of silicon on the edge of the bottom half of the unit from the top part of the heater to the top of the unit, and also on the sections of plastic on either side of the top of the heater, and the plastic at the top of the handle where the screw goes to seal the area just from the top of the heater to the end of the unit. Waited for 48hrs for the silicone to fully cure, which means the harmful chemicals have evaporated off. Then re-assembled it. This greatly improved the unit's efficiency without changing the 5.0's good looks! I still see a small amount of leakage at the end of the unit which I think a slightly larger o-ring for the endcap might fix, I'll let you know, and around the tray. I am working on a fix for the tray leakage. The tray leakage is small, but if you just gently push the tray handle towards the end of the unit it seals to the top and the leak stops. Maybe just a spacer in the tray so the latch pushes the tray up against the top. I'll post when I find a solution. To summarize my ramblings, even if you are not a tinkerer like myself, without any modifycation this vape works very good. Especially for the price. With a $3 1oz tube of aquarium silicon and about 10 minutes it works even better. Maybe one day I can afford the Volcano, but for now this vape rocks! other things to make it better.... Get an oven bag from the grocery store and rubberband it around a section of hose for a bigger lighter bag. That way you can fill/hit off one big bag instead of 5 smaller ones. USplastics has Y fittings, T fittings, hose, quik disconnects, etc. that are medical grade. So you can configure to fill 2 bags at once, hit direct and fill a bag, etc... Hope this helps some one who is in my old shoes.........

It's too bad the 5.0 still leaks. If you like it that's what matters. Have fun and enjoy, thanks for your review.

I personaly have tried the vapir 5.0 and it works.....pretty well. I will prefece this by saying that I am new to vaping and this is the only one I have tried, however, I am satisfied with the results. That said, I elected not to buy one and ordered a V-Tower Extreme. I was between that and a Da Budha or SSV. My friend that owns the Vapir said that if he would have researched it as much as I did, he probably would have went with a different one also. But, if you want to have direct hit and balloon flexibility, this one does get the job done and it works very stealthy in the car with a converter. I think the tray system will be the first thing to break on it though. Hope this helps.
