Has anyone heard of the lightbulb homemade vaporizer? If so can anyone tell me if it works or if its any good at all. I know it wont be as good as a real vape but im unemployed so real vapes are quite a bit out of my price range. I just want to take a break on my lungs for a little bit and if this works well i might try it but i figured id listen to what you have to say first.

I know money is a problem for you, but I honestly wouldn't even bother. Light bulb vaps don't really work, and combust the material more often than not. Might as well just smoke it.

Well try and make one and see if you like it. They are not that hard to make.

I made one a while back. The novelty of it was nice and the fact that I could do it too; but it's nothing compared to a real vape IMO.

I've seen some on youtube as well. Might give you some ideas. If you make one, you'll have much better results with a torch lighter. It gives you much better control over the temp.

I just made a lightbulb vape as described in the link in the post above. I have some very good KB and i used less than .1 gram and i am extremely high, it tasted good, didnt make my bathroom smell, and wasnt harsh on my lungs. It was great.

Yeah, I use one of these in my college dorm room almost daily and it's perfect. If you're really on a budget (hence: college student), then try this out. If you make it well it could last for a few months and it's extremely convenient when used with a lit candle about 2cm from the flame. Takes some practice, but it's worth it if you're determined to vape.

I'm 49 years old and have used marijuana for 30 years. I quit for a five year period to give my lungs a rest. (I was also a heavy cigarette smoker as well.) I recently decided I wanted to use marijuana for back and shoulder pain but I really didn't want to smoke it because I don't want to damage my body anymore.

I stumbled upon the idea for the light bulb vaporizer on You Tube while reading up on medical marijuana,Ron Paul,Rick Simpson, marijuana legalization and medical growing.... I watched different methods for making one and used ideas from several of them.

I make and sell incense and scented oils and so I use diffusers to vaporize the oils to release the scent into my rooms. Those little diffusers put the flame at the precise distance from the dish to vaporize the oil. It seemed only logical that it would be the right distance and heat to vaporize my bud as well. I found one that was crafted in such a way that I could rest the light bulb perfectly suspended above the little tea light candle.

The vapors are clean so you're injesting the pure THC. You feel it just as you would smoking but there is no smoke... You smell the actual smell of the sticky bud instead of the eye-watering cough-inducing smoke from a joint or bong. It's a very pleasant experience.

Not only is the experience pleasant but it's clean as well. The smell doesn't linger in the air like it does when smoked. The high is a much more intense in that I'm more alert of mind, more relaxed and less paranoid when vaporizing. I find I'm more into my interests and less zoned out. My life is more productive due to using this vaporization method and my pain has diminished considerably in my back and shoulder.

One more very positive point about vaporizing, in this way at least, I put about 1/4 as much in the vaporizer as I would in a single bong hit. And I get two good hits from each 1/4 sized hit. According to some data, vaporizing delivers 75% of the THC and smoking only 40%. If you want to be able to conserve a meager stash, this is the way to do it. If you're interested, I'd be happy to share pictures of my vaporizer.
