Question Double BC Vaporizer...

Hey guys...

I am looking to buy a vaporizer, and I found this one called the Double BC Vaporizer.

My question is, has anyone ever used it?? I'm not real up-to-date with vaping, but it seems like a great alternative to smoking. (For me anyway.)

This particular one can be used by two people at once, which is what really caught my attention, as I find that to be a really fun way of sharing... I'm not sure if there are others out there that are like that, but it is the only one I have seen so far.

I just want to know if anyone owns it or maybe knows someone that does and what your take is on it... Before I buy one.

Anyway, any input would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want to buy one and find out it wasn't worth the money.

THANKS!!

The original "BC vaporizer" is one of the primary reasons many people have a low opinion of vaping. it was a hot-plate style vape that burned the weed as often as it produced vapor, and was a general pain in the ass all the way around. I'm not familiar with the "double" style, but I'd personally steer clear of ANYTHING that says "BC Vaporizer". I'd suggest a box/whip vape, like the vaporwarez, personally

Here's a second for that opinion. I can speak from personal experience. The BC Vape was my first. It uses the conduction method, which is far inferior to convection. Look at the other popular vaporizers that have been discussed extensively on this forum. It'll be easy to find the good, name brand models and then you can decide which of those you want to investigate.

I did a little more looking around Google and the BC Vaporizer... turns out it uses something like a soldering iron to do what it does, hence burning the MJ and, well, defeating the whole purpose.

We haven't ever used a vaporizer before, and my husband really wants this one. I will have to show him what you had to say, and show him the other info I found last night.

Thanks for your quick responses!! I saw a lot of info on other vaporizer on here and will now make a new choice.

I did a lot of research and the best one out there for the money IMO is the SSV (Silver Surfer Vaporizer). I bought it and have had no problems or complaints. The same company also sells a lower priced model, Da Buddha (DB). I have tried both, both very nice units. That's my input. Do research there are a lot of reviews on here. Check out the sites, and prices, read testimonials, decide what's best for you.

Yeah, I have researched a lot of them, but they were all their own advertising. So of course, they all claim to be the best. That's why I wanted some honest opinions from people who have actually tried them, before I bought one.

Glad I asked first. Doesn't seem to be a popular vaporizer at all.

I just thought the BC sounded fun, and had the double tubey thing. ( I don't know what the hell it is called.) That just seemed cool. But I am willing to sacrifice that for something that will actually work.

I'd love the Silver Surfer, but OH MY it is so expensive. I'm willing to put up to maybe $200.00. MAYBE.

My search continues... I hope to have one soon, as I am really intrigued by the vaping method.

Until then, my trusty glass pipe is doing just the trick.

Thank you guys!!!!!

The surfer's new little brother would probably give you and your husband just as much satisfaction as far as performance. $168 with shipping.

dabuddhavaporizer.com/home.html

At $120, the standard Vaporwarez Vaporcannon is hard to beat. Good quality and a 5 yr. warranty. Several dealers on ebay and vaporhut (store.thevaporhut.com/servlet/-strse-Herbal-Vaporizers-cln-Vapor-Warez-Vaporizer/Categories) have the $120 price and give you extras to boot. On ebay you'll save the $15 shipping charge too. The whip angle is less than ideal on this vape, but the box can easily be adjusted to improve it. Hands free connection is another $20.

Awesome!! I will check that one out...

I have seen the Vaporwarez, I have been eying that one too. It is about that same price at our local head shop. They sell it with a one year warranty, then they say it can be upgraded online for a 5 year warranty.

I will check out Da Buddah. I have read some pretty good reviews on that one. I didn't know it was a smaller but similar version of the Silver Surfer. I really liked that one... I think mostly because of the name. hehe

Thanks a ton!! I really appreciate it.

If they're talking about registering your unit with Vaporwarez, I can buy that. I wouldn't pay them any extra $ though. Ceramic heating elements (on name brand vapes) are very reliable. The SSV folks have at least one unit that's been running non-stop for 6-7 years now.

It's not really smaller (a little smaller footprint). It's 6.5" tall with the heater connection an inch lower. There are some slight differences but you get the same quality heater and internal components.

I'm going to agree with what someone in another thread said, "I could never justify spending even $100 on a wood box vaporizer while Da Buddha exists".

I'm still waiting on mine to arrive, but I've been reading up on them and frequenting these forums for a few weeks.. and Da Buddha seems like the obvious, and only, choice for a vape under $200. Any other ones you see (Vapor Daddy, HerbalAire, Vapolution, Vapir, VaporWarez, etc.) all have minor things that place them below Da Buddha.

The only bad thing I've heard about Da Buddha is that because of the angle, you get a little more air in your hits. I'm guessing/hoping it can still hit hard enough to knock you on your behind, tokinGLX could probably elaborate..
