Hi, I bought an easy vape vaporizer a few days ago. I got a great deal on it, but it doesn't seem to be working very well. Only a tiny bit of vapor comes out. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? I'm using very good herbs. I'm not chopping them up or grinding them up because I think they could go through the screen a bit if I did . . . but maybe that's the problem. The herbs seem a little dry. Do they have to be moist to work in a vape? Any advice will be smiled upon. 420

I have no experience with your vape but heres my two cents: What temperature are you vaping at if its digital. If just an analog dial try turning it up or down in small increments. Vapor is formed by one chemical turning into a gas as it is exposed to certain temperatures, you need not moisten your product nor do I suggest but I have seen where some say they lightly moisten their product but I would think this would make it harder to control the temperature and raise humidity in the whip. It may be worth experimenting with to see if you like it like that but I have seen heavy vapor from all kinds of plant products be they dried or not so. Also, how are you drawing from it. Do you draw on it like a cigarette or a pipe? If so this maybe a factor. Draw on it slowly, it is the opposite from traditional smoking. The more area for the plant material to come in contact with the hot air is one factor that gives you more vapor and efficiency. I suggest that you find the smallest that you can use without stuff going through the screen. You can get pretty small but I do not know the size of your screen or your wand but generally speaking many who vape do use grinders without a problem, as long as your screen is in place correctly. Either way though you should be fine as I have seen good vapor from plant product that has been placed in large pieces rather than broken down. I believe you need to experiment more with your vape and really test it out. Get know what its limits are, get to know how best to draw from it, generally long and slow. Someone else with maybe more/better info may be of more assistance but I hope it helped you.

Thanks very much for the detailed response. I found it insightful. This particular vape needed the herbs to be looser/ground a bit . . . I just found. : ) A lot of vapor comes through now that I figured that out. It just needed to be looser and covering most of the screen; a bit thick and high. Thanks again.
