| couple friends came over a few days ago and we had ourselves a full fledged vape-off. the volcano held up about as well as any seasoned vaper would guess it would....faced with the stiff competition, it fell flat on its face. the person that owned the volcano now sorely wishes he had gotten db instead. the cano came in at the bottom of nearly every category, the hits were not nearly as fulfilling, its cord was about 6 ft(¿) compared to the 10 ft cords of the 7th floor products, and while the whip vapes were sitting there ready to be hit from, we had to stop and wait for the bag to fill up. db was packing a heavy punch, it was giving the most powerful hits, but it was also going through the bowl faster than the ssv, i do believe the temp was a little higher than necessary on it. many shit eating grins after hits of this machine were seen. the ssv really wasnt very far behind db in the thickness of its hits, but like i just mentioned, the bowls lasted for a few more hits, i believe further intensive research between the 2 units is needed to clearly define a winner. if youre on a budget and looking for the best vaporizer for your money, i HIGHLY recommend db, it is, without a doubt, a volcano killer.

| My volcano may have a 6ft cord, but the bag has 90minutes of roam-time. Have you ever used your DB in the jacuzzi? Ever taste vapor while watching the sunset at the beach? Ever been to a party and walked room to room with your vapor? I totally want a SSV or DB down the road... but I think this is trying to compare apples to oranges again. All I know is floating on my back in the jacuzzi with a tasty bag of vapor has to be the most relaxing thing I've experienced in a while. The only downsides to the volcano I have come to find was the price and the wait-time... but then again, the wait time isn't bad if you get used to it. I flip my switch, then go watch tv or something... time flies by and its ready. It's only bad when you sit there watching it... like a microwave. |

| 90 minutes, eh¿ hate to say it, but thats pretty much a waste of some of that vapor. nope, cant say ive used it in a jacuzzi, in fact, cant say ive ever been near a jacuzzi for...........quite some time now. if youre asking if i could use the ssv/db while in a jacuzzi, well yeah. it wouldnt really be that hard. in fact, it would be a lot easier operating a tableside ssv/db than it would be trying to fill up the bag again. havent been to the beach since i was 11. if i had a house on the beach, you can bet your ass i could watch the sunset while taking my hits. i heartily disagree that it is an apples to oranges comparison. all units are designed to use marijuana to get you high, its just that one of the three units gets you high in a most unsatisfactory manner when compared to the other two. no ifs, ands or buts about it. you say the bag is full of tasty vapor, but i say the bag is full of air diluted vapor. there really is no arguing that point. |

The main point is the ability and option of doing so. Quote:

Me thinks you own a DB and are attempting to further justify purchasing one by convincing you how it is so much more amazing than anything else. The reality is the volcano is a great machine... and it is apples vs oranges. Hell... do a search on "apples vs oranges" and I'm sure you'll find hundreds of topics here comparing bags vs. whips. I know because I went through alot of them before I decided to go with the 'cano. If you like your machine and think it is the best for your needs, then by all means, congrats! But if you seriously believe you can compare a whip to a bag directly and claim one is factually and indefinitely better than the other... then you are ignorant... oh so very ignorant.

| Comparing bag vapes to whip vapes in terms of ones personal style and preference is not what I think Tokin is saying. As a DB owner I am confident that the DB could hold its own. I know how well the design is and how efficient it can be. With the Volcano the amount of air to vapor has to be far greater to that of the whip in my opinion. I honestly dont know for sure but when I see that large bag verses a massive draw off of my vape I just dont see how consistent vapor can compete to thick hard draws but that is just me. This is more of a novelty comparison than a scientific one but it can help people with their personal choices regarding these vapes when it comes to the issue of inhaling and the sensations associated with more intense draws verses lower intensity but more consistent draws. At the very least, it was a good time for them and they are simply sharing their experience and opinion with 3 different vapes in the room. I appreciate it. |

Obviously if my goal was to show how the volcano is superior to everything else... I could only further the point buy needlessly buying another machine. ![]() All I have been doing is defending the volcano and repeatidly being neutral in defending my point that each one has its perks and it depends on your scenario. In my scenario, a volcano worked best, which is why I purchased one... however, I'll say it again: I would love to own an ssv in the future.

Here's the thing... if you posted this as some sort of "we had fun smoking with vapes" thing... then awesome... Seriously, sounds like a fun time. But it really feels as if you posted this with some sort of serious intent of making it come across as real research instead of a bunch of guys getting high and having fun.
