Default I got it!!!

Got my Stealth II yesterday from Gotvape.com. Out of the major internet vape sites, they were the only ones who answered the phone call and my questions. Since the prices were all the same, I gave them the sale. The woman I spoke to actually recommended the Evolution, but due to the reviews on the Stealth, it's aforementioned features and (from what I understand) it's slightly smaller size, I went Stealth. I'm glad I did.

Unfortunately, it showed up with a deep kink in the middle of the whip, a small crack near the part that inserts into the unit and was not able to heat below 350 degrees. So it all goes back. Ther folks at Got Vape were really nice about it and issued me a paid UPS label. I will say that that the fresh out of the box presentation was a bit lacking for a $500 top of the line piece of equipment. The unit was not sparkling clean (smudges). The rubber seal between the digital readout and the casing was not super tight. The rubber tubing on the whip was not cut evenly (and had a permanenet bend). None of which was a huge deal, but for my review, it seems important to be detail oriented.

I did give it a whirl or two...or four. It works great. I wasn't able to heat the herbal material below 350 degrees, but above that, it worked just fine. The heat up time was as stated 2-3 minutes. That was a big deciding factor for me. The taste was a bit better than my old Vapir rechargeable, but not significantly better to be honest. I will also say that I've used the Volcano many times and the taste is a bit better on the Stealth as well. When it comes down to it, you're sucking air through a warm piece of plastic, so the plastic taste will be there to some degree. Overall, I'm glad that I got it and can't wait to get it back. I also ordered a VaporGenie which should arrive any day now to replace my girl.

I had heard that 325 was the optimal temperature from someone on the board. The first person I spoke to yesterday at Got Vape said 356 is the optimal temperature?? I would imagine that if you can get vapes at 315-335, that would be best case scanario. Hopefully, when I get my new one, it will be able to run at those temperatures. For some reason, when I dialed mine down to 325, the fans did not run and the teperature never dipped below 335+. The "specialist" fella at Got Vape told me to send it back becase it sounded defective...which I did.

Thats wierd.325 is probably the optimal temp because thats what mine came preset at from Vaporfection.356 would be too high I would think, unless you had something really dense or moist in there. When I turn mine on it heats up to 350,then the fans turn on.When the fans turn on it brings it to about 325.It then goes up or down from there, depending on what temp you have it set at.You usually dont have to mess with it much

Default So, the saga continues...

So the 2nd unit arrived from Gotvape. It also looked to be less than factory fresh. There were tons of light scrapes all over the unit. Seemed odd. The whip they sent this time had a cracked mouthpiece, the screen that holds in the herbs was curled so that the herbs would suck through the whip and the tubing had a small slit in one end. I called Gotvape once again and this time they wanted me to take pictures and email them...which I did. They said that they would contact Vaporfection to see if they would send a fresh whip, but at the very least they would replace the broken pieces. I grumbled as I did not plan to reassemble any part of my (supposedly new) $500 unit, but was willing to wait on the outcome in hopes that I would just get a fresh one from Vaporfection.

Upon firing up the unit that day, it worked heating up to 325 and any other temp requested. Then I tried it again the next morning...and it didn't fire up at all. Sweeeeeet. When I called yet again to let them know that the unit was also faulty, they stated to get annoyed. I understand that this situation is aggravating to deal with, but it certainly wasn't my fault.

Before sending the 2nd unit out, I requested that whoever assembles the packaging write "fragile" and "this end up" on the box since they didn't the first time...but they didn't. When I asked why they didn't the first time, they told me it was because they were out of UPS stickers and they rarely have problems with these vapes arriving broken. Although a supervisor later admitted that they don't sell many of the higher end units. I made special mention the second time (and was told about them being out of UPS stickers again) and hoped that they would at least spent five seconds with a sharpie on the box...but they didn't once again. I'm not sure why they're so adamant about not needing to mark the boxes fragile or use a responsible amount of packaging materials. My gut tells me that may be the reason for two straight bunk units with cracked whips. Hearing them defend their stance on why they don't need to label the box properly was like someone spouting off about not needing to finish high school because they already got a job and didn't need a diploma to get it. They were still fairly nice and gave me a UPS label to send it back.

I traded emails and left messages with their returns person about a 3rd unit. I had requested that they send me an Evolutions vape since I had so much trouble with the Stealth unit. I mentioned that since it was couple days before Memorial Day, it would be nice to have the unit overnighted for my troubles. I asked for a couple different color choices that were listed on their site and never heard back. Late the following afternoon, after a couple more calls and emails not being returned, I got an email from them stating that they had overnighted me a "white crackle" unit and that my card would be charged $55 for the overnight shipping. Holy crap!!!

The following day when I got ahold of the returns person, she informed me that the "white crackle" unit was one of two color choices available and that she thought I'd like it better than the other...and she assumed that I wanted to pay full price for the overnight shipping. After having them send me a picture of what "white crackle" looks like (early '90s style dorm room faux marble spray paint) and seeing the delivery driver flip the unmarked box around like a football, I decided to send it back. I figured being stuck with another broken unit that was super ugly would be my worst case scenario.

This time they were substantially less cordial. They made me feel like they were doing me a favor by allowing me to return two "used" units. When I asked the supervisor how I would know if the units worked or not if I didn't use them, she really didn't have an answer. I told her that I was looking for a unit that was low key looking and not jazzed out, and that I did not authorize them to ship me the "whate crackle" unit. I asked her why the returns person didn't return the many phone calls and emails before shipping out a unit, but she couldn't give me a decent answer except that she was busy. She had called me in the past. I had left my number multiple times. Certainly a 30 second phone called would have saved tons of aggravation: "are you willing to pay $55 for shipping?" No. "Do you want a unit that looks like fake marble?" no....done. The supervisor finally mentioned that they would be getting a new supply this week and would email me with the color options if that would be accpetable....but I would still be on the hook for the overnight shipping. I told her that would have been my preference all along and agreed. When she called back this week, none of the color options were to my liking so I just asked for a full refund. They agreed less the $55 for ovenight shipping. As soon as I see the credit for the unit, I will call my credit card and dispute that charge. What a pain in the cock.

As a side note, I emailed Vaporfection last week about the two not-so-new units I received and never heard back. Anyone have any experiences like this? Is there a better place to buy the Evoilutions V7 vape? I saw a website that looked like a company site, but it appeared junky and possibly not fully functional. Just wanted to share.

I honestly believe you would never have those kind of issues at 7th floor, the makers of the SSV and Da Buddha, I understand the makers of the Extreme are very good customer wise too.

If I was you I would cut your ties at the soonest part, if you can get the charges off your credit card by disputing with your credit card company if you want to go that far.

I hope you find a fruitful solutions.

Vapedaddy.com has the Evolutions for $475. I'm not sure you'll get quick delivery there, but it's a legit dealer. I've ordered from the guy a couple of times.

There's also an Evolution VII (vs. Evolutions 7), which is here- 209.62.78.195/home.php. This gets confusing, but apparently the same guy, Chris Dawson (hence the 'Dawsonator Vaporizer') was chief designer on this unit (originally called 'The Fogger'), which he sold the rights to, in turn becoming the Super Vapezilla, and he also had a hand in designing the Evolutions 7, sold by Gotvape and Vapedaddy.

That sounds like a nightmare... I ordered from gotvape.com (Volcano Case and Easy Valve starter kit) and although everything arrived and was fine the packaging was really shoddy.

Default 4th Try...hopefully it's the charm

This time I decided to go in a different direction. Because of it's portability, I just ordered the Vapolution. The reviews seem favorable and I like being able to take it in the car or on a boat. I bought the basic package directly from Vapolution and was able to swap out the tubing and straight bowls for one of their glass all-in-wonderbowl. I thought that was solid of them. I decided not to buy the battery pack because it doesn't attatch to the unit and am mostly around outlets...so no need to spend the extra loot. To be honest after smoking out of a Volcano and a Vapir Air2 many many times and the Stealth a few times, it seems like any time your taking hits out of a plastic tube or bag, you're getting an inferior taste. I am excited to see what the glass on glass is all about for 1/3 of what I spent on the Stealth.
