Greetings. I just found this board this morning when doing research on vaporizers. I've read many posts and am trying to figure out what vaporizer is best for me. After reading other posts/reviews on other sites, I think I've narrowed down my list: Evolutions v7 Vaporfection Stealth II, Vaporfection II Jr (and non-digital) Vapezilla/Super Vapezilla Narural Goods (basic or digital) My dumb ass was one of the first to own the original Vapir rechargable model. It looked so good on the back of high times magazine. Unfortunately, it has collected dust for years and I've gone back to smoking by pipe or J. This time around I want to do it better. At first, I thought about getting something simple and cool like the Hotbox, but I don't like the warm up time (10-15 minutes) and lack of control over the temperature. I have friends who have and love the Volcano, but most of my home smoking is by myself (I know I'm a loser) and I do not really like smoking out of a bag. I like saving money, but I do want a really good one and will can pay SV/Volcano money if need be. So, the quest moves forward. Here's my criteria: 1. Construction. I want one that's solid and built to last. 2. Appearance. I would like one that is on the smaller side and does not seem like it's obviously paraphernalia (Silver Surfer). The Stealth appears to be the largest of the aforementioned lot??? I saw a video on Youtube and it looks like an Atari 2600. I hate buying high tech gear that's a fraction of the size soon after I buy it. That's what led me to the VP Jr. It's odd that most vap web sites don't list vaporizer dimensions. 3. Ease of use. I want one that doesn't require a lot of personal attention once it's set. It would be nice to have one where I can set my prefered temperature and never mess with it again. It seems like the non-digital models fit that bill, no? I don't neccessarily need a digital readout, but if that makes the medicine last longer or more enjoyable, that might sway me. 4. Best taste. The Super Vapezilla seems to get high praise. But how do the Evolutions and Vaporfection compare? They all seem similar. Does the glass heating element of the Stealth make it taste better than the ceramic one in the SV? 5. Warm up time. To me, 3 minutes or less would be perfect. 3-5 would be fine if the unit was highly praised. Any more than 5 minutes seems like way too long. I am not super concerned about wararnty. I'd take overall performance over an extra year or two. I'd also like to know if anyone can tell me the difference between the innerds of the classic Vapezilla and the Super and the Vaporfection Stealth and the Jr. There really isn't any info out there that lists the differences between them. Thanks in advance for the help. Last edited by jhpfunk : 04-30-2008 at 03:48 PM.

| Of the brands on your list I'd put Vaporfection 1st, because I've seen user reviews. People like it. It has a 3 yr. warranty. It cools down quicker than the SV I know (you do know you have to cool these down, right). #2 would be the Evolutions. Same 3 yr. warranty. Don't know much about it except it's designed by the guy (or one of 'em) that also designed the SV. It looks a lot like the SV. #3 would be Natural Goods. The design, as far as the digital info, isn't as good as the others. You only get the temp of the whip, and you have to preheat the whip. They're in the 2nd generation now, but a lot of the 1st generation NGs wouldn't heat up to a totally satisfactory temp, and there were some unhappy owners. But if you buy from Gotvape you'll get a lifetime warranty. I'd put the Vapezilla #4 and the Super Vapezilla..... well, if you listed every vape on the market I'd probably put it just above all the cheap Chinese ripoffs. At least it's not dangerous. Wicked Roots offers no parts warranty on their vapes. That makes an SV repair, even on a month old unit, run between about $100 and $250, and the $250 doesn't cover shipping. The company has also put up multiple fake vape review sites. They all have the same basic format, language (including the same misspelled words) and lies. They find fault with every vape but theirs. All of the 4 are gonna give you good hits. Taste difference? I doubt it. I'm surprised you don't care about the warranty. There's no performance difference between the 3 $500 vapes that matters as much as the warranty on vapes like this IMO. I've heard of multiple breakdowns on all these models. And it makes sense. You've got fans and a heater in a box with a digital controller whose circuitry doesn't like heat. A good quality analog whip vape will outlast these digital boxes the vast majority of the time. Email Steve at sales @ arizer.com and ask him why he designed the Extreme to read the heater temp, not the air as it enters the bowl. But if you're set on buying one of these, I'd get the Vaporfection for performance. It's an updated design vs. the SV. 'Set it and forget it'. Don't know about it's fan noise, but a friend told me the SV fans were 'hear 'em over the TV from the next room loud'. The digital controller on his SV died, by the way. That's the $250 part and the most likely to fail. Can you tell I don't like Wicked Roots? I admit it. When it comes to that co. I'm biased. But with good reason. ![]()

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I guess you're right, if the products are not vastly different, then the warranty really becomes a difference maker. I think the quest has narrowed to the Vaporfection Stealth II and the Evolutions v7. I inquired today @ Got Vape and they spoke highly of both, but the woman that I spoke to favored the Evolutions due to the temperature steadiness. Has anyone tried both?

I have no input that can assist for the vapes you stated. All I can say is that I recommend a vape that best fits your smoking style if your new to this. While not digital or anything and not really as stealthy as you seem to want but I would at least check out Da Buddha vaporizer from 7th floor. It seems to have most of what you are looking. Though I cannot say how it would compare to those vapes on your list. Happy Vaping!!

Does anyone have experience with both? I'm placing my order tomorrow, but leaning towards the Stealth II VDS.

I got the Stealth II about a month ago and I love it.I did a ton of research and saw all the reviews and websites on every vape on the market.I have used Super Vapezilla, surfer, and volcano and I like the stealth II the best. The volcano is good for alot of people and very different but I personally like the huge hits and taste off the whip style vapes.Stealth II is the best because it heats up in 2-3 minutes depending on where you have the temp. and then you dont have to cool it down like you do with the others. You just turn it off and it cools itself down! You can vape a single session in under 5 minutes and walk away. Not waste half your high sittin there coolin down your vape. The fans are extremely quiet compared to other vapes. Not to mention the other features the customer service for Vaporfection is excellent.I ordered mine from Vaporfection and when I recieved my package from UPS it was damaged. When I contacted them they sent me another one with like 2 extra whips and other acc. the same day! Before I even sent the other one back. They shipped me a new one and paid for return postage on the one UPS damaged.I even recieved a couple phone calls from the guy who makes them.EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE,EXCELLENT PRODUCT................This is a real review. Not one of these fake reviews people post to sell thier products. This thing is sittin next to me right now. ![]()

Thanks for the review, the heat up and cool down is a non issue for Da Buddha and I believe the same is true for the SSV and I have not heard of anyone really stating that issue regarding heat up and cool down on the more spoken about models. Vape on
