Hmmmm, the heater's glowing orange, it has been for a few minutes.. I'm sure I have it hooked up right, ground glass wand into heater, product near the heat... but when I suck back on it I don't get anything. No mist, no nothing, except a tiny taste of herb. Maybe it's not fully heated, but it looks like it.


Shit, I've already blown like a bowl into the heater. Defective heater maybe? The very top of it isn't turning orange and when I put it halfway/12 o'clock the heat dies down considerably and it goes back white.

Try turning it up some, it will glow at low temperatures. I would turn it up all the way then turn it down a bit and see what happens.

Also are you drawing slowly or like one would with other methods? Longer slower draws are best as this is what brings the heat to the product and not wholly by being near the heat. If hit too hard the air doesnt have the time to efficiently vape as its not as hot since the air is not heated as well compared to slower draws.

I've tried long, slow draws with the heat cranked all the way. When I put it in the 12 o'clock/halfway position there is no glow whatsoever. I tried several long, slow draws in a row but all that happened was the wand got hot as hell and the goods remained green.

I would contact 7th floor via telephone as I have seen reports of them not getting back real quick with emails.

I feel for you I really do but from what you are saying with my limited knowledge of vaping I believe the issue may be with the vape or something that is more or less part of a learning curve.

One thing you can do is to try to read the temperature, a meat or turkey thermometer should do the trick. If its it heating up correctly than the issue has to be from something else is my opinion.

How much plant material are you putting in? I fill mine way over the recommend dosage but I like the big power hits. Literally I fill mine up loosely not packed almost to the top leaving about less than inch empty from the very end of the wand.

I can get quality draws with it filled in the hour glass part and the only real benefit I get from filling up so much is I vape for close to an hour without having to change it or about 30-45 minutes with two people.

Anyways if the heat is in the correct temperature range, are you are able to draw in air or is it like their is nothing as if clogged? Did you cut up your plant material, put in whole or finely ground? How far up the wand did you put in.

Hopefully someone can help better if none of this works out. Oh, also make sure theres nothing covering up the hole where the air comes into the vape at but if airflow is not a problem and the plant material is not jammed in and packed, loose is better for airflow, I am at wits end so to speak.

If I can think of anything else I will certainly speak up and I am sorry your DB first experience has been bad one.

Perhaps tolkin will be around or pm him and ask him for some advice as he is who I consider the most knowledgeable on the 7th floor vapes.

I just packed it tightly, about a half inch thick, and got two killer hits with the dial at 3 o'clock. I turned it down to 12 o'clock and it went too cold to hit. I'm happy I got it working, kinda, but I didn't think I'd have to turn it up so high.

Sorry, I should of said mine starts about 3/4 of the way. I thought the same thing but they do say that due to variations in vaporizer to vaporizer the temperature settings could be different from vape to vape.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, I would of tried to help, but you got it.
I watched youtube videos, and tokinGLX videos on google. They show exactly how to do it.
Hopefully you heated the unit for 10 minutes full heat before using it to burn off the oils first. When my gf's sisters bf got his from me I noticed they put the nob on incorrectly. It's just a potentiometer. Grab the nob and pull it off. Turn the pot with your hand till it's mid way between full and off. Then stick the nob on with the notch facing the top. That will ensure 12 pm is actually 12pm (for reference sake).
adjusting your draw speed is key, temp can be anywhere between 12 and 4 depending on proper draw speeds for the individual temp

That could be your problem. Convection vaporizers depend on heated air contacting as much surface area of weed as possible. If you pack it down, you limit the paths the air can take. Once the weed along those paths is exhausted you could be getting little vapor even though most of the load is still very green.

Pack loosely. Stir up the load between hits so all of the weed eventually gets heated enough to produce vapor. With my VaporWarez machine, if the heater is glowing visibly, the temperature is set too high.
