Default Looking to make a quality vape

Don't get me wrong, I love my vaporwarez, but there are things I'd like to improve.

I'd like to make my own vape that addresses the things I want, because other vapes don't cut it 100%. That being said, I'm willing to put in serious time and research to produce this in the marriage of fashion and function I'm looking for. I prefer the ceramic heating element inside of glass controlled by a knob method, and I'd like to know if anyone knows of a page that describes how to replicate this in depth?

My other option is to buy an additional vape with these features, for the purpose of taking it apart to find out first hand. Anyone have any thoughts on that? Anyone ever disassembled Johnny 5?

Considering the specialized nature of many of the components, I think you'd be better off buying a vape, taking it apart, and reassembling it in a different configuration. What do you want to do that's different from a standard box vape?

My issues:
1. I enjoy hits the best when herb is evenly distributed across the screen. Uptilting and horizontal heating elements don't achieve this 100% unless assisted by the user.
2. A way to keep the wand with the vape for easy storage.
3. I'd like to step outside the box, as it were, for my design.

I want to make a vape with a downward angled heating element so as to address my first concern. This will also require a rest for the wand connection piece so it doesn't fall off, but at the same time can be easily removed. A possible addition that seems the most difficult, but very interesting, would be a mechanism activated by button or lever that would lift the heating element off the wand for temperature regulation, stirring, and removal.

Because of the new angle, the vape would have to be a bit taller than my current one so it can sit on a table, but doesn't constrict the hose in any way. I would also like to add a few pieces on the back that allow you coil up the hose and lock the mouthpiece in place while having the wand connected to the vape. If it's not too awkward looking I'd also like to include a small holder for the stirs and possibly extra screens.

This is the ideal picture of what I'm looking to do. The design will change as I encounter problems and new solutions, but this is the starting point.

I use a lab stand with a double clamp as a whip rest. When I get some time, I'm going to make a new device out of some cherry I've had curing out in the shed. It'll have a place to hold my VaporWarez and slots and holes drilled and routed to accommodate all the little tools that go along with vaping. It'll have a 3/8" dowel sticking up with a carved cherry double clamp.

I'm a little concerned with changing the orientation of the heating element. It it's pointed downwards, the rising heat could build up, which wouldn't be good for the wiring/electronics. If you point it downwards you should be sure to ventilate the space so the hot air can rise out of it.

I plan on having it exposed, a la SSV, to deal with any issues of the heating element damaging the container.

Concerning damage to the wiring/electronics: this is where my research into the mechanics comes into play. If the only thing in the basic line of heat is all ceramic, then that solves the need for more holes. More holes obviously means more air in the hit, and I'm not looking for that. If indeed there are electronics in danger due to the angle, I'll have to find some way to design around that I guess. Necessity is the mother of invention. Sometimes.

How's that? I don't see how it addresses my issues as proficiently as my design.
