The cub cam is up and running during zoo hours. If it is after zoo hours, they have recorded video you can watch too. Don't forget to come back and check everyday! I do.

This is after I went nuts over a Foal I met in a Horse trailer by the convenience store.
Gotta' love those Baby Animals!

Loved that hide and seek video with the Mother and Cub. Priceless!
Want to cuddle them both, now.

Anyone else on here submit a name yet? I submitted one, although I don't think it'll be picked... it might be a bit too esoteric: Ailuros. Pasted below is my explanation why they should pick my name.

Ailuros is another name for Bast, the ancient Egyptian cat goddess. I personally think that Bast would be a bit trite and perhaps overdone,but Ailuros has a bit more mystique to it. Perhaps the best reason to use it as a name, though, is what one of Ailuros's main duties was in the Egyptian pantheon. Every night, a serpent would try to eat Ra before he was reborn again in the morning, and myth held that if the serpent ever succeeded, the world would end. Each night, Ailuros would fight of the serpent, protecting Ra and allowing him, and the world, to be born again the next day. This can symbolize the importance of every new birth in a species that is threatened, like the jaguar, or endangered, like many of their feline kin. Every new birth from these animals represents the hope for the future of the world, that it can be as wonderful in the days to come as it has been for eons and is today.

Question, Vicki- what's the Palm Beach zoo like? When I lived down there, we went to the Miami Metropolitan Zoo, but that was just depressing. I hope the Palm Beach Zoo is a credit to zoos everywhere, if simply because it would break my heart for there to be two zoos like the Miami one.
