..... the thing is... numbers don't really look like that today. ie all square.. for instance six has a round bottom not a square bottom. three has round edges.. it's not a sigma as depicted. and the nine does not have a spiral in it... never have i seen it written the way it was in the video. neat idea, but why is zero the only number that gets to be round? a little too convenient to make only one number have curves.

I think it's because we just take shortcuts, not sure though.

that's a distinct possibility. however my main criticism with the video is the fact that no references are made to the validity of this video, especially not the characters depicted. if some one were to show me a reliable source showing how the original whoevers who created the arabic numeral system used those characters, as well as reliable source showing that this was derived from the number of angles in those characters, then i'd be convinced. However, i'm not one to jump to conclusions and take what is said in a youtube video as truth.

Why would someone make a video like this falsly? Granted youtube has plenty of idiots postin videos on it. I still believe the person who posted this video originally was doing so to educate people on a very common unknown fact. And it makes a lot of sense.
