To claim the Marijuana laws are attacking the rights of African Americans is only partially correct. They attack the rights of every American. I feel he was grabbing at anything he could to save his ass,I know he would never admit that but an angle had to be created to help keep his butt out of the pen and he found one. Is he good or bad for the legalization of marijuana? Im still undecided on that one.Atleast he is doing something. I think what hurts him the most is the outspoken racial slant he takes about the laws being MAINLY against the African community. They outlawed Marijuana for everyone, and I would have to say there are just as many whites that smoke weed as there are blacks.

Hes done a hell of a lot more to bring attention to the unjust laws than most will do in their lifetime. However, he could work on his image a little to be taken more serious.

Again, it's one thing to disobey the laws, it's another to blatantly defy them in ego charged idiocy. I could understand if you went to the whitehouse and started smoking on the stairs, while hundreds of people around you started praising you, but standing in a circle of a few people, resisting arrest, and blowing smoke in an officers face (somebody who's just trying to do his job) is blatantly defying the laws and being maybe not violent, but not peacable about it.

The black movement gained support because they didn't violently lash out at the white community, dispite the fact that the whites treated them horribly througout. Not because blacks would sit in a white seat and then push the cops off of them.

@ Italacis, it's one thing to spell like shit on the internet while you sit at home doing nothing of importance to millions of americans (IE Just chilling online).

It's another thing to run for political office, or even lobby with crappy ass grammar. Heaven knows whether or not anybody would trust you anymore if you missed the A in America in one of your bills, or if you stopped and had to sound out a word in one of your sentences, or started stumbling over your words because you didn't bother to actually check for subject verb agreement in your speach.
