To claim the Marijuana laws are attacking the rights of African Americans is only partially correct. They attack the rights of every American. I feel he was grabbing at anything he could to save his ass,I know he would never admit that but an angle had to be created to help keep his butt out of the pen and he found one. Cant say I wouldnt do the same thing.

Marijuana is just as illegal for me (the cracker)as it is for him, The self proclaimed Rastafarian-Jamaican-Civil Rights Activist-African American-SuperHero-NJweedman. DUDE!!!Your High.

NJweedman,,you didnt become Rastafarian until you were looking at 20 years in the pen. You said yourself on your site you rejected the christianity beliefs at an early age. You know you didnt claim ANY religion then until AFTER you were arrested for pickin up the weed.

As far as your freedom of speech,,you got Fucked!

Is he good or bad for the legalization of marijuana? Im still undecided on that one.Atleast he is doing something. I think what hurts him the most is the outspoken racial slant he takes about the laws being MAINLY against the African community. They outlawed Marijuana for everyone, and I would have to say there are just as many whites that smoke weed as there are blacks.

Hes done a hell of a lot more to bring attention to the unjust laws than most will do in their lifetime. However, he could work on his image a little to be taken more serious.

Anyway ,,Later folks.

Really? What an ass, but I'm not really surprised.

Look at his "insults" throughout the thread, straight outta third grade.

I think the weed man shouldn't be smoking if he has the mentality of an elementary student.

LOL...you mean you don't want someone like him, with his thinly veiled racist attitudes and stellar PR skills, representing us as the face of the American pot smoker????

ME EITHER!!! AS I've said before, and will continue to say, unless weedman actually changes for the better, he does more harm than good for our movement. he seems to subscribe to the theory that any publicity is good publicity. Getting the issue out there is one thing, but doing it in a way that embarrasses most pot smokers and hurtts their efforts towards legalization is yet another. You are disrespectful. You are laughted at, both by the "establishment" and your fellow smokers. You've managed to alienate yourself from the very people you are claiming to help. For the most part, if this thread and what I've read elsewhere is any indication, the legalization movement doesn't even WANT your help. Its an ego trip for you, nothing more.

Wow, Njweedman is on this site? If you see this, your a huge inspiration. I have never smoked weed (yet) but i've watched all yoru videos and such. Everyone on this website calling you an idiot is being a reactionary fool. The full version of that video, the 30 minuite documentary, is absolutly great. A great look at how Christianity is the "dominant" religion of America (Duh, but its sick whenever someone clarifies that some more) and how policies have actually come before Individual freedoms and fuck, even the bill of rights. One of my personal favorite sayings on that documentary are;
"We do not have freedom of religion in America, what we have is freedom of religion acceptible to the christian majority."

Very nicely said. Goodluck with legalizing cannabis.

I'll just throw this out there, and i'm sure you've heard of it, but have you read the book "The Emperor Wears No Clothes"? You have a reputation within the weed community, and that book goes over nearly every use of weed, its history, and pretty much everything involving weed. Use your influence to spread the knowledge! Legalizing weed might be the only way were going to save the world from the Climate Crisis, corporate dominance, and plain stupidity!

Pretty sure most of the people on hear have read/own The Emperor Wears No Clothes, and we all sympathize with the legalization cause, we just think NJweed man is doing alot more to hurt it than he is to help it with his foolish choices.

And what foolish choices are those? He takes the radical stand with cannabis and smokes it in public to represent the truth behind civil liberties and constitutional rights in AmeriKKKa.

Same thing with the "radicals" of any agenda...If you are preaching to the choir, you are popular as hell...If you are trying to persuade others to your position, though? I have found logic and reason a much better facilitator.

I agree entirely, and honestly, I wasn't trying to preach. I'm always out doing the activist stuff and I swear I wasn't preaching, in fact, I think weed my become my moderate activity outside of activism, to keep myself sane

You could basically sum up my feelings towards weedman like this--He seems to promote the idea that MJ smokers are a bunch of "fuck you, I'll do whatever the hell i want" type people, when, in fact, the majorty of potsmokers are otherwise law-abiding people who don't routinely break any other laws. We ARE the person next door, not some widely outspoken radical who seems to get off on self-promotion and making an ass out of himself. We are doctors, lawyers, teachers, chefs, motel workers, stay at home fathers and mothers, clerks, accountants, mechanics, farmers, travel agents,....we are everyone and we are anyone. Rather than portray us as outcasts and rebels, why not promote the fact that despite out use of cannabis, we blend in with the population at large quite well? The anti-drug zealots would have you believe that everybody who smokes pot is still living in their parent's basement, doing nothing with thie lives. We need to blow that perception out of the water......imagine a day when everyone and anyone who smokes pot decided to stay home from work.....imagine the impact that would have....and the message it could send.

Not to mention the medicinal arguements.

Cannabis is a Medicinal herb. It should be decriminalized for this purpose.
