Democrats and Republicans support thier candidates with donations! Now I ask Potheads to do the same

I'm asking "POTHEADS" to support my "protest" runs for office! Every year I run for a different office under the Legalize Marijuana Party as a way of protesting our nations current marijuana laws. I'm not that "high" were I actually think I'll win, yet running under the legalize marijuana party I'm making a statement and those who support the same issue are givin the opportunity to participate in my protest just by voting for me and the issue of marijuana legalization. Imagine if every year I come in 3rd place, with significant numbers!!!

"While 3rd party candidates - rarely pose an electoral threat, such candidates contribute to the free flow of ideas, which is important in a democracy, "said William Stewart, a university of Alabama political scientist.

Maybe you should learn how to spell, and even some proper grammer before you start asking people to consider you for a political office, crackhead.[mod note: no flaming]

Dude I'm all for legalizing weed but when I saw that video asking "what is the first thing you'd do if elected to congress?" and you said something to the effect of "light up a fatty" you lost my respect. Who do you expect to take you seriously? It sure as shit won't be the typical demographic that votes.

Your idea may be great but your execution leads me to believe it should remain an idea until a better execution can be planned. You aren't going to win people over by getting arrested. I see you getting arrested and I think "typical hypocricy" but the average voter (middle-aged, white, 2 kids...you know) sees that and thinks, "Gee golly dear! I'm sure glad they scooped up that Rasta before my child could see him puffing on that marijuana cigarette!"

See what I'm getting at?

Neal Levine does a great job of arguing for legalization without coming across as a child of counter culture. That's the only way to reach the people who don't already vote for you. Preaching to the choire is a waste of breath and effort.

You need to work on cutting down the length and improving the message here.

You can't base running for office on legalizing pot - it just wont work.

(i wish and hope you (or more likely someone else) will prove me wrong)
