| I don't know if they had 2 marijuana episodes or of this was the only one and some stuff was left out. If there were 2 different episodes maybe one was about medical use and one was about recreational use. A few years ago I watched some of it on tv and I think Smithers and Homer both smoked a joint. I don't think they showed just Homer gettin baked. Not sure if it was banned from tv, but it definatly doesn't get aired much. |

| I love The Simpsons, but I don't like this. It makes out like medical cannabis users are irresponsible and stupid. At least that's what I got from it.

| Yes, this does make medical marijuana users look bad. However, let's keep it in perspective, here. First of all, this is the Simpsons we're talking about. I can't recall the last time the Simpsons (or any other TV show, for that matter) was cited as a reliable source. TV is generally not indicative of actual behavior, views, and attitudes. Also, that was just a portion of the episode. Generally, there's usually a pretty moderate message that wraps it all up. I know I've seen it, but I can't recall if there's an overt message or not. So, I'm in the process of acquiring the episode, and I'm going to watch it tomorrow. I'll see if there's a redeeming point somewhere in the episode, and I'll report back tomorrow. I'm pretty sure there is. I mean, I certainly picture the Simpsons writers smoking pot, don't you?  |

| Hah i love this episode but i do agree that it makes medical marijuana users look like people who are using it as an excuse to get high. I love the part where Phish smells weed and demands to see a doctors note
