Heh, I saw this on digg awhile back. I think it's generally true for a lot of people, but I know some people I wouldn't trust to drive stoned, including myself (I'm not the greatest driver to begin with). I have a friend that kind of worries me, though. He often drives WHILE smoking, like from a bowl. Usually in broad daylight. Makes me nervous, to say the least.

I pretty much never drive stoned unless absolutly necessary, and only if I'm not very high at all. Even though I haven't had any problems, and it does make me drive slower, I prefer not to take any risks. And I make sure that if I'm going to smoke or, especially, eat, marijuana, I don't have to drive anywhere.

Some of my friends have said that my one friend is a scary driver unless he is a little high. My girlfriend also says she is a better driver while high, but she has been in at least one wreck before because she was driving high (bowl in hand even), so I don't like her to. But her main influence when she was younger was her friends that would driven under the influence of copious amounts of alcohol, or anything else you could think of, so she doesn't normally listen.

I agree with the test. I drive every single day, either slightly buzzed, or feeling it to a good degree, I DO NOT DRIVE COMPLETELY BAKED! Me and my friends all have noticed when driving high, you actually pay more attention due to the tension of thinking your going to fuck up and get caught. I see no problem with it, but I do agree we need to find a way to get a legal amount for driving.

ill say it, although regretfully, i have driven completely stoned, even to the point where i can discretely hit a bong while at the wheel. Im not necessarily proud of this, but i do feel the idea of being aware that you are influenced and therefore being more carefull is true.

yeah same. The Speed channel show, i dont remember what its called but its European, did an episode on it once. they tested their accuracy, reaction times, and judgement. they showed that under the influence or MJ you are more likely to pay more attention an the wheel, and drive quite a bit slow.

after i saw this i thought to myself. woah thats cool. then the next time i smoked and had to drive i realized i drove alot slower and in control then i usually do when im sober.

Yeah, as a driver, I HATE hitting bowls while driving. The only way I'll do it is if I have a passenfer to light it for me. Other than that, blunts are smoked, they're easy to smoke while driving.

I'm high almost all the time I'm driving unless I'm driving to/from work...all my car accidents happened while high but that was a while ago and it was inexperience more than anything...

It's basically the same as sober. Just remember to pay attention!

i try not to drive high....but i have to admit, i usually am high making a mickey d's run or something. i find that i'm paranoid and swear to god that i'm going to get picked up by the cops or something...but i do drive much better. i actually put on all of my signals and drive below the speed limit...
