| I understand why they did this, but not sure if I approve.

| The more we understand about genetics, the better. I know it seems strange, but by observing the results of (any) minor changes in the genome to animals that would otherwise be healthy helps increase our understanding of how the body responds to slight genetic engineering. One day, hopefully we'll be able to completely isolate genes that cause diseases (such as Marfan Syndrome) making it far less risky for people with these diseases to have children. Taking it from a 50/50 shot to less 1/100, hopefully. |

| Strange. I've heard about genetically engineered cats that are hypoallergenic, but glow in the dark? Seems a little unnecessary. Kind of freaky too! I wouldn't want to wake up in the middle of the night to find this dimly glowing red kitty face sitting on my chest, meowing. |

| Darque showed me something about this the other day. Interesting to say the least. A little too complex for my understanding most likely ![]()

| It's so you can see your cat when you're vaccuming in the dark! Duh! Oooh, no I've got it! It could surpass the new Black Sheep film and come out with... Kitty Assasins an experiement gone wrong! They're clones! They're glowing! And they're pissed! ![]() I did see a special on Animal Planet the other day about Humbolt Squids and how they are able to flash red and white and also change patterns on their bodies. Very Interesting.

| I saw about a week ago when it was on my MSN messenger video thingy, pretty interesting. Although this is genetic engineering, some of you might also be interested in bioluminescence. Pretty interesting stuff, some mushrooms, fish, and jellyfish as we all know 'glow in the dark' through naturally processes. Could you imagine walking through a glow in the dark forest? That would be a trip. Wiki Bioluminescence Bioluminescence page/pics

| "Could you imagine walking through a glow in the dark forest? That would be a trip." Its called phosphorescence...it is like a glowing gas that is emitted from decaying plant matter. I have walked through a glowing forest, it was pretty damn trippy, so i did some research and found out about phosphorescence. now about the genetic engineering... I think its sick and wrong. I think that humans should not know how to cure every disease that ales them. People get terminally ill for a reason, and that reason is to keep the ever growing population of this planet down. If we knew how to cure every disease, this planet would be more over run than it is already. Why do you think an alarming amount of people are getting cancer, its just another method of survival of the fittest. Mother earth is only trying to lighten her load. |

| playing god with living animals is not a very good thing in my opinion, but what if your marijuana plants could glow in the dark, that would be crazy |
