Apparently you tube is not allowing for atheists opinion to be heard, there has been widespread censorship and holding back by them.

At first it seems like they should be allowed to do whatever, seeing as how they own that website, but they should be less modest in their approach. If they want to silence their opinion, they should ban or delete their accounts instead of being cowards.

You dont make a video saying you dont belive in something an if you honestly wanna watch these videos, you need something better to do.

One one level there is freedom of speech, atheists on you tube allow for the freedom of expression whether or not you think they are dumb videos.

Secondly this is not their site anymore, without expression and support from individuals like myself, there would be no money for them.

First of all, this is one crank's fantasy, as far as I know. He doesn't offer any evidence except "it's apparent", which is no evidence at all. I'd want to get some kind of corroboration before I'd give his rant any weight.

Just because you frequent someone's business doesn't imply that the business doesn't belong to them. If you eat at MacDonald's every day, does that mean you own a piece of the business? They need customers to survive, but they don't need you (or people like you) specifically.

It's a privately owned website. They get to make the rules. You either live by them or leave. If enough people leave, the website will disappear. Otherwise, feel free to start your own website and make your own rules.

Freedom of speech? This isn't a case of Government legislation, this is a private company taking down content it either finds objectionable/questionable/they dislike.

Well, yes it is still their site. They own it. Period. Just because they need peoples money (either through advertisment or otherwise) doesn't make the site owned by those people. It's still a company (Goog) that has it's private interests at heart.

Google purchased YouTube some time ago.. Last year, I believe.
Now Google is a publicly owned/traded company.
So do you own Google stock? Unless you do, you're not an owner, plain and simple.

IF this guy's accusations have any shred of truth to them, the people calling the shots would be shareholders. Ultimately, they have the ability to make such decisions.
Considering how young, hip & cool YouTube is (and similar sites are), it's doubtful that the shareholders would approve of such bullshit.
