Mhmm, I didn't read the whole thread - didn't know if it had been discussed. Sorry.

Magic resume! A resume is what you say it is.
No mate, it's not.
I've reviewed hundreds of resumes over the years. When it comes down to crunch time it's a no brainer to sort out the liars...

I'm not saying you say that you were first in your class at Harvard... I'm just saying don't put 'DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE - INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT: THROWING A PUPPY OFF CLIFF' on your resume.

If a person has been in the military, they need to list it on the resume. Are you saying to omit military service from a resume completely?

"Need" to list it on their resume?

I'm just proposing that if they list, they just list 'Served in military' and not say why it was ended. It's possible that this person was already on an extended service (many military personnel are), and most people probably wouldn't say much to an odd number of military service years.

Ok, should list it on their resume.

I guess I'm just used to being honest, and that included my resume. If military is listed, discussions will happen, and it might come out, sooner or later.

My motto is to always tell the truth, then you don't have to remember what you lied about, or omitted.

Tro, little bro.
Screaming at the top of your lungs ain't gonna distract me from this not so admirable recorded moment.
Well, his, not yours, right
No matter. You may have indeed slung your puppy throwing by me a couple of decades ago but I'm afraid, no more.
You cast that little doe eyed creature off a cliff for all the world to see and I suggest strongly that you take a very long timeout before you hope no one will care, no one will see...

a lot of employers will check the credibility of the sources you list on your job application- hell most of them ive filled out ask the specific question A: have you ever served in the military and B: have you ever been dishonorably discharged from said service?

if they find out you lied or withheld information like that, its grounds for instant termination.
