We're making some serious advances in the field of robotics! I'll bet within 20 years we won't be able to tell if it's a human or a robot walking down the street with us.

I ran across this video on a blog site...and it just amazes me! This thing walks like a person. And watch what happens when they try to kick it over...it rights itself just like WE would! I imagine it's gotta serious gyroscope inside to keep it stable.

One of my co-workers says it reminds him of one of the 'At-At's from Star Wars!

Yup, this is pretty awesome.

It's funny you post this video because me and my friends were watching the same exact one about 3 or 4 days ago! It totally creeped my friend out how it walks so much like a giant crawling human.

Pretty rad stuff , that's for sure! I can't wait to get one of my own to lug around, books, groceries and camping supplies!

It looks and sounds more like a giant fly than a big dog!

The engineering is remarkable. You could get the balance recovery without anything as sophisticated as gyroscopes. It could emulate the way we do it: visual cues and semicircular canals. The semicircular canals' functionality could be reproduced with mercury switches.
