Thumbs up Das Rad (The Wheel). Great!!

This has to be one of the best short films I have seen. It's almost touching, and to think about things in this way instead of your normal POV is really an experience. Try to get into the minds of these rocks (Flippin stoneheads! ) and really feel what they're feeling.
I guess it won some award but I don't know what or when.

I'd really like to know what everyone thinks of this. It's simply beautiful.

I really like it. I think the rock thinks we'd be better off without the wheel.

You're absolutely right and I never thought about that view of the film. In the end where instead of playing with the roundish rock still, he throws it under himself, in a way to try and prevent that development from happening again and coming close to 'killing' them.

I simply love how he is playing with the rock in the beginning, not even thinking anything of it and yet the caveman sees it, IMO gets the idea of the wheel, and it was all started. I don't think the rock even has the slightest clue that his rock gave them the idea of the wheel until later in the film, maybe not until the very end even.

Love it

That was a great video, thanks for sharing man. I didnt really understand what it was all about until I realized time was flying by extraordinarily fast for those 'stoneheads'. Pretty clever video, well made too, if I say so myself. That and German is a beautiful language.

I'd agree with your whole idea about how the Rockdude introduced the 'wheel' concept to the caveman, I noticed it too how he sat on it.

This reminded me of one of my favorite stop-motion short films, here is a link to a thread I just made (not to steal your thunder Dark, but I think those that liked this should see it too. )

I came across this the other night... I laughed really hard when the city stopped expanding and the one rock says, "That was close..." hahah

That was a really cool video Dark. Sometimes I love subtitles, it gives such a unique feel. I liked when it showed all of the industrialization taking place. It was very intense and dark. The creators of this video did a great job conveying their message in a short period of time.
