Well i dont think i would smoke in the elevator if i got stuck. I might cover the camera or something, but there is too great of a possibility to get busted.

I should've elaborated. I meant the elevator in my apartment building, which usually when there is a problem, attracts security guards hired by the complex (i'm sure the guards smoke weed). Also, I live in San Francisco, so I personally don't think there'd by much harm in the situation (legally). Anywhere else and yeah, I definitely wouldn't smoke in an elevator. Although, I'm sure you could easily get away here with smoking in a public elevator if you were locked in it for 41 hours.

True, but you also dont know when the people are going to open the door. What if they happen to get you when you are in the middle of smoking, or worse what if the it has sprinklers and gets your weed all wet?

Haha... this isn't too ridiculous to me. Maybe I'm jaded because I grew up in NYC and I have been stuck in a lot of elevators (never more then 4 hours though). I guess it is something that you *somewhat* get used to.

There aren't any sprinklers in our elevators; again, I'm saying I'd do that in the elevators to the building I live in, most likely no where else.

I don't care if there's a camera or not; if I'm stuck in an elevator for more than ten hours, I'm smoking a joint. They can arrest me when they RESCUE ME.

I will just tell them I was having a panic attack and medicated myself. :P
