| Hey everybody, I finally got an account after lurking for a few months, seems like a really helpful community of people. Well, so here's the horror story. My buddy got me this triple bubbler named Beelzebub, to replace my Zong (his name was Zeus) that he broke. This bubbler was a piece to be remembered, and I felt honored to smoke out of this piece of art. Unfortunately, after two weeks of having it (GOD!), I knocked the bubbler off my desk with my backpack, and actually caught it with my foot. Of course, it slowly tipped off the top of my foot, falling maybe a foot, and cracked on the floor breaking into four pieces. It broke exactly on the joints, none of the chambers were actually harmed. I still use the first chamber as a bubbler, it just needed a filter but it doesn't have a carb. The first chamber is completely intact, the second is kinda messed up, and the third is completely intact. All the breaks occur right where the bowl meets the joint leading to the next chamber, and the whole thing completely fits together. There are four pieces total, the three chambers and a piece of the joint connecting the first to the second chamber. What's left: One bubbler with no carb (the first chamber), a chamber with a broken joint, and the final chamber with a carb. I'd post pictures, but I don't have a flickr account. Does anyone know if it can be fixed by a glassblower, and how much it would cost. The two joints just broke away the bowl of each chamber, and I'm pretty sure blowers get the pieces wholesale and blow the joints to put it together. It doesn't seem to far-fetched, I'm just worried about cost.I'm going home in Los Angeles for the Summer, so if anyone knows of good glassblowers in the LA area I'm willing to drive to Venice or whatever. If all is lost, does anyone have any gluing tips? I was thinking about gluing the last chamber to the first chamber, but it would look really weird. I tried gluing an older bubbler together with that UV glue, but it just spontaneously fell apart a month later while it was sitting on my desk. The head shop I got it from suggested aquarium glue. Any other suggestions are welcome, and if pictures reallly are necessary I'll get off my lazy ass and post some. -A Newb to the Community in Need of Advice Here are pictures, per SnipeStars request. I figured this would be needed, hopefully they help. 1st Chamber: ![]() 2nd Chamber with Broken Piece: ![]() 2nd Chamber Together: ![]() ![]() 3rd Chamber: ![]() 3rd Chamber on top of 1st (potential gluing idea): ![]() Last edited by sexytimeexplsion : 06-03-2008 at 09:24 AM.
