I dunno if you guys have ever tried this... but I definitely recommend it.

My friend and I bought a crappy snowcone maker one day for like $30 for the shaved ice.

Is shaves it really, really well... and you can pack your ice catcher really tight full of ice (smoke can get through anything).

The tighter you pack the ice, the less is melts, it keeps itself cool.

It works really well

how long does the crushed ice last you? cause on a hot day i'm dumping out excess water every 5-10 mins and thats with cubes, i would imagine crushed ice would melt even faster....but cool it better prob. Ill stick w. my cubes prob.

Oh and a funny ice story as a side note, yesterday i guess the ice melted together cause when my friend was ripping a 3 and a half foot roor a chunk of ice about 3 inches tall shot the whole way up the tube and hit him in the mouth, i was super blazed and about died laughin. It reminded me of the thing at carnivals that you hit with the huge hammer and it shoots up and hits the bell....just with ice and his mouth was the bell haha ew.

Well, shaved ice is packed very tight, or a least I pack it that way.

We usually shaved some ice, put it in a plastic cup and put it back in the freezer for a little but then pull it out when we need it.

I'm back with physics but for whatever reason I've had awesome luck with shaved ice. I just know you can stuff your ice catcher with shaved ice, unlike cubes ice which only takes up a little room.

Or you know the ice that sticks on the inside of your freezer? That works just as well

I would imagine that would cut off the airflow far too much for me to enjoy. There's a reason 18.8 is more popular than 14.5, people like the increased air flow.

I've never used shaved ice but I use crushed ice when using my smaller bong and I love it! It definitely cools a lot better, and it actually lasts longer than the cubes I use in my other bong. I don't feel like buying a snow cone maker but if I ever get the chance I'll have to try that out.

My friend got one for $3 at a garage sale haha... just keep an eye out. I think it works much, much better than crushed ice personally.

Yeah. I love crushed/shaved ice in my bong. It makes for a very cool smoke.
