Ok so when I just recently purchase a water pipe I got some cleaning solution and the owner gave me a deal on some of this new cleaner that was the latest and greatest. So after breaking in my new piece I notice that I have no idea how to use the stuff and the directions are completely useless; they are exactly the same as on the GrungeOff site too. I have one bottle and a 24 inch double perc beaker bottom bong, I feel like I should have bought two bottles. Your not supposed to dilute it with water, supposedly reuseable (up to how many times?), and you let it sit for an hour, and voila! it's clean! Here's the site, which is just the bottle label. Do yourself a favor,
and take that undoubtedly expensive cleaner that the friendly 'owner' sold you, back to him, and get your money refunded (or a credit if need be).
Then stop at any local market, drug or hardware store and pick up a couple of bottles of isopropyl or denatured alcohol (a 16 oz. bottle runs about a buck and a quarter).
Pour the alcohol into your pipe, let sit, but swirl occasionally.
If you have a particularly dirty bowl then add some salt to the brew as it will act as an abrasive.

Simple, cheap and extremely effective.
If you're so inclined you might do a 'search' here as there are quite a number of posts re: alcohol's effective use.

That money you just saved ought to provide you a nice bud or two...
