Default your opinions on this bong

hi everyone. i am thinking about buying this bong:

everyonedoesit.co.uk/online_headshop/Weed_Star__Fat_Joe_Ice.cfm?iProductID=4362

it is all glass, 45cm (about 18in) tall, 4mm thick glass, 18.8mm joint size, ice-notches, carb, diffuser, and its cylinder is 65mm in diameter which apparently is bigger than most bongs (it looks like it gets a bit smaller at the end). it costs $56.98.

what do you all think about this bong? do you think it is worth the money? any experience with this brand or website?

The reviews are mostly positive. There are a few things that would worry me though. The durability of the bong, I usually don't like anything below 5 mm glass thickness and it's not borosilicate glass. Anyway, it seems to be a good buy for the price.

would 4mm thick glass be subject to breaking easily? it was filed under borosilicate, are you sure it isn't?

You are right it is. My bad. I also am not the biggest fan of carbs on water pipes but to each his own.

it's a pretty nice bong, positive reviews, and a pretty good price; i'd say go for it!

thank you everyone for your input. does anyone think there would be any problems with customs? it would be shipping from the UK to virginia. the shipping is pretty expensive too: registered international mail- $24.36, ups or fedex- $66.48 (much faster shipping, comprehensive tracking). i'm not going to pay 67 bucks for shipping though!

Well, I dont really like carbs on bongs, but besides that, it looks great man. If you have the disposable income, I say pick it up if you like it.

i've always had carbs on my homemade bongs but only because i couldn't remove the bowls i made. maybe removing the bowl provides a better hit? the bong is a three piece so i can plug up the carb and use the bowl piece to clear the bong of smoke if i like it better that way. the website sells cheap rubber carb plugs so i'll buy one.

maybe i'm missing something but where is the carb your all talking about? to me that looks like an icecatcher [bong] with a diffused glass on glass downstem.

ha - i just saw it after typing this and am wondering why the hell they put a carb on that beauty of a bong. but for 60 bucks, thats still a really nice bong at a great price.

check out some of these if you go to the "waterpipe" section and especially this piece for 80 - 18 Inch Blue Pistol Grip
