Leave it soaking for a minumum of 2 days.

For those really caked on bits (i feel like someone on a dishwashing commercial) try putting your garden hose down the tube. There should be some pressure in that to knock the dirt loose.

I owuld avoid acid if at all possible, go to you're head shop the all have something, you got a free Roor bong - don't be cheap

Or you could nix all those '420 cleaners' (which are a waste of money, over priced and you can clean just as well, if not better without them) and buy a giant jug of Acetone for a few bucks. That shit will peel even the oldest, thickest, nastiest resin out of any bong. I swear by it. Don't put salt or rice in with it though, you'll end up with mineral deposits which are hard to remove on the inside of your bong.

I used to work in a food factory we used this wicked shit called chloroquip if left to long it would eat through stainless steal that should work no problem if you can find it, but I would use purple power and just clean with hot soapy water afterwards like I have done for years without any problems.............go to a head shop like I said you gor a free bong this will be you're only expense into it

Alright, the results are in. I soaked it in iso alcohol and salt overnight and that didn't do a damn. I went and bought some acetone from Home Depot and it worked almost instantly. Shook it up and the bong came out crystal clear. Rinsed with water and a little soap at first, then let water run through it for about 5 minutes. It's clean as new and rips great. I'm very happy with my bong. Haha.

I'm glad to hear that you got her looking like new. Have fun with and don't let it get that nasty again which I am sure you won't after you just went through hell to get her all cleaned up.

Salt will work as well for this. Great method listed above.

Also, if you dont want to use salt or rice, you can get a long pole of some sort, tie a cloth to it, and clean out the gunk in your bong with that

I can't even imagine what kind of disgusting resin was in that thing if it took you this much to get it clean. I clean my bongs quite frequently, my dry pieces and bubblers are a different story. Even with a once a year cleaning the process doesn't take half of this.

The person you got this from had to smoke a hell of a lot of weed every single day out of this thing to get it that caked with resin; they also had to go a coon's age without cleaning it like I said. If you change the water often and clean the bong with an isopropyl/salt solution once a month or so she will always be squeaky clean. Also, with a clear piece such as a RooR you may want to get an ash catcher to help keep that baddad clean. The ash catcher will keep all the particles out of your actual bong and thus require less cleaning.

If you can drop $275 on a bong (especially a kinda plain one)then give it away you can afford to smoke the shit out of it one would assume. I however agree with you - must've never cleaned it or maintained it, to be honest with you I really cant blame him, I have smoked roor bongs before and they dont get you any higher then a Zong so if it was disappointment I understand but you should always take care of you're shit especially expensive shit, even if you dont like it you can trade or sell.

No they certainly don't get you any higher. However, some people, myself included, prefer to have some of the nicer things. I know I like to have all of the frosted glass because it makes for smoother disassembling when you go to clean it. I also prefer the thickness and quality of glass used on my Pure bong. It's nice and hefty with a really sturdy base, I can carry it around the apartment and leave it on the floort next to my puppy without having to worry about her being shattered.
