Hey wasup I just got a new bong today and I am new to this bong thing and I want to know if I can just use water to clean my bong? like everytime I use my bong after can I just use water to clean it? or do I have to go get the alcohol and salt to clean it? Also how often do I have to clean it?

Well you can dump and fill often but you will eventually want to clean with alocohol and salt once it gets nasty

Well you could also go to the headshop and they sell cleaners but will cost more. But eventually they all need/should be cleaned.

There really are two different answers to your question.

Firstly, yes you can just clean the bong with warm water after each use and that will certainly help to keep the bong clean as a whole. It will also keep it from tasting and smelling so horrible.

However, after extended use resin will begin to build up along the chamber and downstem. Simply rinsing with warm water after each use will help prevent resin buildup but it will not completely stop it. I suggest cleaning the entire piece, bowl and stem includedl, with alcohol and salt at least once a month.

I try and soak my bong and ash catcher at least once a week though. I have a clear bong and ash catcher so the resin is more visible when it builds up and I cannot stand looking at/using dirty bongs.

I'm a lazy bitch and do it as needed, never had a problem other then appearance. It is really a matter of personal preferance just do it when you think it needs it or if you got the time
