My buddy was talking that filtering with listerine was good. He said it gave you a rather minty taste. My only question on this is, is it good for you? All responses welcome. Thanks.

Listerine is mostly Alcohol, so it might decrease the potency of your smoke.
If you like a minty taste, you can add mint to your bowl, or brew some extra strength mint herbal tea and use it rather than plain water. Either one will work.

It's not so much about what would be better, but more of a question of health. My buddy is saying it wont harm you, but I think it must be at least a little harmful to your body.

I wouldn't bother with it. It's probably not that bad for you, but it's definitely not good for you. Stick with the trued and true, ice water and other liquids you can drink.
