So heres my problem. I bought myself a beautiful bong, and this bong in question tipped and a part broke. I want to know what is the best way to mend it......the sticky tack helped but its kinda a quick fix So heres where it is. The lip of the bowl where the stem and bowl go in. The opening where the stem slides into the water is chipped, so i no longer get suckshion to the bowl.....what am i looking at here? Some kind of glue? Re mold the glass? I dont wanna buy another 200 dollar bong......can anyone help??

Yikes. Sounds like a tough fix. My personal advice (if adhesives, plugs, etc won't work), is to remove the entire female piece and get a new one, identical if possible, and replace it. Usually headshops have replacement female pieces. Your last resort (if you cannot find a fitting female piece) is to glue the bowl into the female (be neat and tidy as you don't want to be inhaling glue) and try to create an air tight seal. Then drill a hole in the back or side for a carb and use that rather than the slide. Gorilla Glue works wonders on glass, just a dab will do. Good luck dude!

It's hard to give advice without a picture, but I'd say your SOL.

Maybe, MAYBE, you can carefully reattach the glass using some sort of non-toxic, high-temperature adhesive (what, I have no idea).

But even then, the integrity of the entire glass bong is compromised because of that one break, and it's likely to break again or at least start to leak.

Yeah its realy hard to explain what part i mean.....ok so what i mean is the stem and the bowl are completely fine. The part thats broken is on the actual bong its self. The hole on the bottom bulb of the bowl where the stem goes into the bowl into the water.......The hole lips up a bit and that opening part is chipped so the stem cant sit in the bong airtight So there is major air escaping. I tried using tack to cover the chipped hole...but it wears down and the air will come through regardless. I have no idea id a certain type of glue can block air like that..or is my only option to find someone who can blow and reshape glass....reshape the hole so the stem and bowl will sit like its supposed to.......if anyone wishes to see a pic to see a better look and what they think my email is i.hope.i.didnt.brain.my.damage@hotmail.com just remind me what the email is about, lol. Try this stuff called "greenstuff" it's used primarily in miniture modelling, google it you might be able to find something. It likes starts blue and yellow and you knead it together into green stuff which eventually dries.

perhaps if your lucky their is a nearby glass blowing store or craft area you can go to and ask to fix? ive got this place near me where they give classes on glass blowing and blacksmithing and thats where i think i will try to go if a piece i own ever breaks.

i dont think you can walk up to a glass repair shop hand them your bong you have been smoking out of since the day you got it and ask them to fix it.

im pretty sure they will either look at you, laugh, tell you no and send you on your way or take your bong ask you to sit down while they 'look at it to see if it can be fixed' when really there calling the cops telling them some dumbass walked in trying to get his bong fixed
